As Senior Sales Executive, New Business at Sinch, you’ll play a critical role in driving new-business growth across ANZ. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle - from territory planning, prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution selling, negotiation and close. You will be responsible for developing high-quality pipeline, progressing opportunities with urgency, engaging senior customer stakeholders and consistently converting pipeline into revenue. You will act as the commercial owner of your opportunities, partnering closely with internal teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
You’ll independently manage your assigned territory and sales pipeline, prioritising accounts and opportunities based on potential, customer fit and likelihood to close. You will be accountable for opportunity strategy, deal progression, forecasting and identifying and mitigating commercial and execution risks. You will make informed decisions about customer engagement, deal strategy, pricing and negotiation, escalating material risks and approvals where required.
Key responsibilities:
- Territory & Prospecting: Develop and execute territory and account plans, using targeted prospecting, market intelligence, partners and other channels to create high-quality new-business pipeline.
- Opportunity Development: Own qualified opportunities through the full sales cycle, developing deal strategies, building stakeholder relationships, maintaining momentum and establishing clear next steps and close plans.
- Value Proposition: Lead consultative discovery and communicate the value of Sinch solutions in terms of customer business outcomes, building compelling business cases and executive-level alignment.
- Deal & Risk Management: Identify and actively mitigate risks including weak qualification, limited stakeholder engagement, competition, procurement, legal, commercial and timing risks.
- Forecasting: Maintain an accurate, evidence-based forecast and provide clear visibility of pipeline, commit, upside, risks and actions required to deliver revenue targets.
- Pricing & Contract Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations and develop mutually beneficial agreements while protecting Sinch’s revenue, margin and commercial objectives.
Market & Vertical Intelligence: Maintain strong knowledge of relevant industries, customers, competitors and market trends to identify opportunities and inform territory strategy.
- Solid B2B sales experience
- Demonstrated success in a quota-carrying, new-business sales role
- Experience managing opportunities from prospecting through to close
- Experience selling SaaS, technology, telecommunications or complex solutions is highly desirable
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and multi-stakeholder buying processes
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tools is required
- Proven full-cycle sales capability across prospecting, discovery, solution selling, negotiation and closing
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to engage and influence senior business, technical and executive stakeholders
- Strong opportunity management, forecasting and risk-management discipline
- Organised, self-driven, accountable and comfortable with performance targets
- Curious, customer-focused and able to translate business challenges into compelling commercial outcomes
- Coachable and committed to continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable
