Job Purpose:

Manage, organise, and control an effective Graphic Design Service to all directorates within eThekwini Municipality through the implementation of design solutions, managing graphic design projects from concept to delivery and contributing to the production process.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Manage and control the activities of the Graphic design section.

• Planning the branch activities, considering long and short-term goals, objectives, action plans, operating standards and performance standard set.

• Managing and controlling staff.

• Undertake performance assessment to measure performance and implement correctional steps if required.

• Ensures the operating policies and procedures are appropriate and are adhered to within the directorate.

• Provide input into the development and implementation of the municipal corporate identity.

• Monitor and provide advise or guidance on the correct use of corporate identity and branding manual both internally and externally.

• Determine, implement and manage projects.

• Prepares project plans with clearly defined assignment of tasks and responsibilities.

• Prepares capital and operating estimates for the section, approves and control projects related expenditure against budget allocation.

• Management of archive repository.
