Job Role: Senior Brand & Marketing Lead – Premium Hospitality

Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $3000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is:

Our client is a premium hospitality and events business delivering high-end food experiences across weddings, private functions, and corporate events in Australia. Known for combining elevated service with detail-focused execution, the business works closely with event planners, luxury venues, and lifestyle brands to create polished guest experiences in fast-paced environments.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a commercially minded Marketing Strategy & Campaigns Manager who can take ownership of the marketing function across strategy, creative direction, campaign planning and execution.

This is a hands-on role within a growing business. You’ll be responsible for turning commercial objectives and new initiatives into clear, compelling go-to-market strategies that drive qualified enquiries, bookings, revenue and stronger customer engagement.

The ideal person is both a strategic marketer and a mini creative director — someone who can see the bigger picture, develop the strategy, and then get into the detail to make sure the execution is strong, on-brand and commercially effective.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Build and own the 12-month marketing calendar, identifying key campaigns, seasonal moments, launches and initiatives.
  • Align marketing activity with commercial objectives, sales priorities and broader business goals.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and recommend marketing priorities rather than waiting for briefs.
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders aligned on upcoming campaigns, priorities, timelines and deliverables.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Take a commercial objective, product, service or new initiative and develop the go-to-market strategy from concept through execution.
  • Define:
    • Target audience and customer segments
    • Positioning and key messaging
    • Campaign concept and creative direction
    • Channel strategy
    • Content and creative requirements
    • Partnership opportunities
    • Indicative budgets
    • KPIs and measurement
    • Launch and execution timeline
  • Develop structured launch plans that clearly communicate what needs to happen, when and why.

Creative Direction

  • Act as a strong mini creative director, setting the creative direction for campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Brief and collaborate with photographers, designers, content creators and other creative partners.
  • Review creative output and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Ensure all creative work is high-quality, commercially effective and consistent with the brand.
  • Understand when creative work is not strong enough and confidently push for a better result.

Commercial Marketing

  • Connect marketing activity to measurable business outcomes, including:
    • Qualified enquiries
    • Bookings
    • Revenue
    • Customer acquisition
    • Customer behaviour
    • Partnership opportunities
  • Develop KPIs that go beyond reach, impressions, followers and content volume.
  • Monitor campaign performance and use insights to improve future activity.
  • Make commercially informed recommendations around budget allocation and channel investment.

Hands-on Execution

  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Be comfortable getting into the detail when required, particularly in a small-business environment.
  • Coordinate campaign deliverables, timelines, stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ensure campaigns move from strategy to execution without losing focus or quality.

Example of What Success Looks Like

A key example is Pronto, which has recently been soft launched.

For an initiative like this, we want the person in this role to be able to independently develop a clear 90-day go-to-market plan, including:

  • Who we should target and why
  • How Pronto should be positioned in the market
  • The core campaign idea and creative direction
  • What photography, video, design and other assets are required
  • How the launch should be structured over 90 days
  • Which marketing channels should be prioritised
  • Potential partnerships and collaboration opportunities
  • Recommended budget and where it should be allocated
  • KPIs and how we will determine whether the launch is working
  • Recommendations for optimisation based on performance

The expectation is that they can take a relatively open-ended commercial opportunity and turn it into a clear, actionable marketing plan.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not simply a content or social media manager. They are a commercial marketer who can think strategically, lead creative direction and execute.

They should be able to walk into an ambiguous opportunity, ask the right questions, identify the commercial objective, develop the strategy, brief the creative work, coordinate execution and ultimately measure whether the activity delivered a meaningful business outcome.

Key Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:

  • Deliver and maintain a clear 12-month marketing calendar.
  • Develop strong go-to-market strategies for new initiatives and campaigns.
  • Improve the quality and consistency of brand and creative output.
  • Generate qualified enquiries and contribute to bookings and revenue.
  • Build effective partnerships and campaign opportunities.
  • Establish clear KPIs and reporting for marketing initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and recommend new opportunities.
  • Successfully take campaigns from strategy → creative → launch → measurement → optimisation.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
