About Hubtype
Hubtype builds Visual AI Agents for WhatsApp: AI for the thinking, UI for the doing. Enterprise brands use our platform to automate customer service, sales and operations on the channel their customers already use every day, combining LLM agents with interactive interfaces, human handover and deep integration into their own systems.
We work with airlines, retail and luxury, insurance, telco and mobility brands across Europe and Latin America, including Wizz Air, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Tendam, RACC and Verisure. We work closely with Meta's teams on new WhatsApp capabilities such as Coexistence and WhatsApp Calling.
The role
Every project we sell succeeds or fails on its scope. When a deal closes with a vague scope, Customer Success inherits a promise nobody priced, delivery runs over and the client’s business case breaks. Your mission is to stop that from happening.
You are the bridge between business and technology. You sit with the client’s business owner and their IT team, with our Account Executives and with Customer Success, and you turn “we want an AI agent on WhatsApp” into a solution design, an integration plan, an effort estimate and a business case that everyone agrees on before the contract is signed.
We are looking for someone technical enough to earn the respect of a client’s IT team and commercial enough to hold the room with their business owner. You will work on mid-market and enterprise deals in sectors such as airlines, insurance, retail, telco and banking. If a deal can’t be delivered as sold, you say so before it closes, not after.
What you’ll do
- Technical scoping on every deal: run discovery with business and IT stakeholders (use cases, conversation volumes, systems of record, authentication, compliance) and turn it into a solution design and a statement of work that delivery can be held to.
- Support Sales across the full cycle: demos, proofs of concept with success criteria agreed upfront, technical answers in RFPs and security questionnaires, and a structured handoff to Customer Success once the deal closes.
- Scope upsells and change requests in existing accounts together with Customer Success, with the same rigor as new business.
Requirements
What we’re looking for
Experience
- 3+ years in a client-facing technical role: sales engineer, solutions consultant, solution architect or technical consultant at a SaaS company or integrator. This is a mid-senior role.
- You have scoped and estimated software projects for mid-market and enterprise clients, and you have lived with the consequences of your own estimates.
- Knowledge of or exposure to CX, messaging platforms, conversational AI, CCaaS or CPaaS is important. If you have worked with Twilio, Infobip, Zendesk, Genesys, Salesforce Service Cloud or similar, you already speak the client’s language.
Skills
- Integration fluency. This is the main filter. REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON: you read a client’s API documentation and tell their IT team exactly what we need from them.
- You can build. JavaScript or TypeScript (our open source framework, Botonic, is React based) or Python, well enough to prototype an integration or a demo yourself.
- AI-native. You actively use AI tools in your workflow: research, prep, analysis, prototyping. We are an AI company and we expect the team to work that way.
- LLMs in production. Prompting, retrieval, tool calling, guardrails and evaluation, and an honest view of where they fail.
- Commercial judgment. You understand how a SaaS deal is priced, can explain a cost model to a CFO without losing the IT director, and are comfortable telling an Account Executive that a deal is not ready.
- Clear writing. Solution designs and statements of work that the client’s procurement team and our delivery team read the same way.
- Native Spanish and fluent English, both mandatory. Most of our clients are in Spain, while RFPs, technical documentation and part of our client base are in English. Catalan highly valued, as a large part of our client base is in Catalonia.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with the WhatsApp Business Platform: template categories and approval, per message pricing, WhatsApp Flows, Coexistence, Calling API.
- Contact center platforms such as Genesys Cloud, Zendesk or Salesforce Service Cloud, and experience integrating them with messaging channels.
- Sector experience in airlines, insurance, retail or telco.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC. Not a requirement; we will notice it in how you qualify a deal technically.
- Catalan or French at C1/C2 level, not basic or conversational. A real plus, especially Catalan given the volume of clients in Catalonia. Between similar CVs, we will choose the candidate with the stronger language skills.
