With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.A Marketing Specialist III is responsible for writing/leading proposal and interview preparation for key strategic pursuits. This role collaborates with pursuit teams to developed winning strategies in advance on an RFP.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinates, writes and leads qualification packages, proposals and leave behind material for pursuits. Collaborates with technical staff and writes/reviews/edits content for clarity, compliance and key messages.
- Works with pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including providing research and industry business intelligence.
- Organizes and may lead or support technical staff in the presentation phase of the pursuit, including coaching.
- Organizes and facilitates pursuit strategy meetings.
- Supports client service teams by preparing materials for internal and external meetings, as well as participating in client service team meetings.
- May coordinate division public relations (PR) activities, including creating press releases and announcements, writing articles for division newsletter, and coordinating project awards and other special PR-related projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or
- In lieu of degree 8 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint and other communications-related software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Pursuit Champions, Project Managers, Office Sales Managers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to research client needs and develop actionable insights that support pursuit strategy and messaging.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading and document quality control skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to implement sales processes and review documents for compliance, consistency and quality.
What We Prefer:
- Experience supporting complex AEC pursuits and proposals, including large, multi-discipline or multi-office pursuits.
- Strong understanding of the proposal development process, from pursuit strategy through final submittal.
- Experience leading proposal efforts, coordinating contributors and maintaining accountability to schedules and deliverables.
- Ability to interpret RFQs/RFPs and develop compliant, compelling responses aligned with client priorities and evaluation criteria.
- Experience working directly with technical staff, Project Managers and leadership to develop pursuit strategies and content.
- Strong meeting facilitation skills, with the confidence to lead discussions with technical and non-marketing staff.
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and experience collaborating effectively with graphic designers.
- Experience contributing to broader marketing initiatives, such as process improvements, training or team initiatives.
