  • Plan approved environment changes with risk reviews, rollback plans, maintenance windows and post-change checks

  • At least six years of relevant work, including five years designing, deploying or upgrading Hazelcast or its relevant OEM product
  • Advanced expertise in Hazelcast architecture, configuration, high availability, resilience, distributed caching, hardening and lifecycle management
  • Proven ownership of production P1 investigations, lasting corrective actions and escalations involving OEM engineering or support
  • Demonstrated performance tuning, capacity planning, sizing and scalability work backed by measurable validation

Who this fits

This role suits a senior Hazelcast specialist who can operate directly at the customer site and coordinate with RBI stakeholders, developers, L1/L2 teams and support groups. You will provide senior oversight while joining remote, OEM and on-call coverage. The approval process requires degree records, project dates, relevant experience and evidence of Hazelcast or OEM association.

From the employer

We are looking for an On-Site Technical Account Manager (L2) to act as a dedicated Resident Engineer for a major enterprise deployment. Working directly at the customer site, you will serve as the primary technical bridge between local operations, internal engineering teams, and vendor support to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated Hazelcast component issues. Lead root-cause analysis for P1, recurring and critical incidents with Hazelcast support, keep stakeholders informed and track permanent corrective actions through closure. When an incident closes, make sure the knowledge base captures the cause, permanent fix and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate Hazelcast support cases for product bugs, patches and escalations; promptly notify RBI of critical defects or security vulnerabilities and track remediation and closure status.
  • Recommend, configure and validate RBI-approved Hazelcast designs for high availability, resilience, throughput and scalability in line with Hazelcast guidance, working with L2 and developers on complex workflow, connector, integration and performance issues.
  • Plan and carry out approved UAT, pre-production and production updates with impact and risk analysis, approved operating procedures, test and rollback plans, execution in approved maintenance windows and post-change validation.
  • Advise RBI security teams on Hazelcast hardening; assess releases and patches and maintain upgrade, adoption and infrastructure-lifecycle roadmap recommendations.
  • Work with RBI’s performance-monitoring team to establish baselines, diagnose bottlenecks and implement tuning and configuration improvements with measurable before-and-after results.
  • Perform capacity planning and sizing and conduct periodic capacity and utilization reviews, including annual audits and corrective recommendations for threshold breaches.
  • Maintain senior-level operating procedures and technical documentation; guide L1/L2 teams through knowledge sharing, current industry trends, best practices and thoughtful automation.
  • Provide senior oversight for complex or escalated service requests, authorizations, coordination issues and configuration-backup concerns, while the L2 TAM owns routine handling. Help keep the agreed roles and responsibilities (RACI) and escalation matrix current, join remote, OEM and on-call coverage, and contribute to quarterly service-level reporting and RBI certification. The team supports unlimited cases, with response targets of 30 minutes initially and 1 hour ongoing for P1; 1 hour and 2 hours for P2; 4 hours and 8 business hours for P3; and 8 hours and 2 working days for all other cases.
  • Graduate qualification such as BE, BSc, MCA or equivalent; an engineering background is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years designing, implementing and upgrading Hazelcast or the directly relevant OEM product.
  • Advanced Hazelcast architecture, configuration, high-availability, resilience and distributed-caching expertise, including security hardening and lifecycle management across UAT, pre-production and production.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex production incidents, P1 root-cause analysis, permanent corrective actions and OEM engineering/support escalations.
  • Strong performance-tuning, capacity-planning, sizing, throughput and scalability skills supported by measurable validation.
  • Ability to work with RBI stakeholders, developers and L1/L2 teams; communicate recommendations and approved decisions clearly and produce strong operating procedures, configuration records, root-cause analysis reports, roadmaps and knowledge-transfer guidance.
  • Be prepared to share degree records, project dates, relevant experience and evidence of your Hazelcast or OEM association so Hazelcast can support RBI’s approval process.
