The job is remote in the United States, with field work alongside regional teams, customers, and partners.

From the employer

Hammerspace is a fast-growing software company building the data foundation for the AI era. We are changing how organizations access, move, and use unstructured data by eliminating data silos and creating a single, high-performance data environment across sites, clouds, and storage systems—so AI, GPUs, HPC, and data-intensive applications can operate at full speed.

Our technology combines a high-performance parallel global file system with intelligent data orchestration to make data available wherever compute needs it, without disruptive migrations or infrastructure lock-in. The result is faster AI pipelines, higher GPU utilization, quicker time-to-insight, and a radically simpler way for researchers, developers, and enterprises to put their data to work.

Hammerspace is seeking a high-caliber, process-driven enterprise storage sales executive to lead our Americas Sales organization. As the VP of Sales, Americas, you will drive revenue growth, scale the enterprise sales team, and expand our market share in the Global Data Environment category. You must possess a strong network in the data storage industry, selling AI use cases is a plus, previous sales leadership roles Americas, US West or East, a verified track record of scaling a business to over $100M in annual revenue, and a strict commitment to operational rigor through formal sales methodologies. This position requires you to be in the field working with regional sales teams meeting with customers and partners and helping to close opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue Leadership: Own, execute, and exceed the annual sales quota for the Americas region.
  • Operational Discipline: Implement and enforce a highly structured, repeatable sales process using MEDDIC or MEDDPICC across all tiers of the sales organization.
  • Team Scaling: Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of Enterprise Account Executives skilled in deep discovery and qualification.
  • Strategic Enterprise Deals: Directly engage in complex storage architecture sales cycles, validating economic buyers and decision criteria.
  • Channel & Alliance Strategy: Champion relationships with key storage VARs, global systems integrators, and cloud hyperscalers.
  • Predictable Forecasting: Utilize rigid qualification metrics to deliver highly accurate pipeline and revenue forecasts to the executive team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Industry Domain Expertise: Minimum 10+ years of enterprise sales experience strictly within the Data Storage, File Systems, Cloud Data Management, or Unstructured Data sectors. Experience selling AI use cases is strongly desired.
  • Proven Revenue Scale: Documented history of leading sales teams that have successfully closed and managed $100M+ in annual revenue.
  • Methodology Mastery: Expert-level mastery of MEDDIC / MEDDPICC. Must have a proven history of embedding this qualification framework into the daily operations of a sales team to shorten deal cycles and increase win rates.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience operating as a Second-Line Leader (Director, Senior Director, or VP) managing distributed enterprise sales teams in North America.
  • Startup Agility: Demonstrated success navigating high-growth, venture-backed tech environments where process must be built from the ground up.
  • Complex Sale Mastery: Expertise in selling complex software-defined storage (SDS) solutions to Fortune 500 CIOs, CTOs, and Infrastructure VPs.

Key Attributes for Success

  • You are highly process-heavy, relying on data and deal qualification metrics rather than intuition.
  • You possess an aggressive, hands-on coaching style that instills MEDDIC / MEDDPICC discipline into every deal review.
  • You maintain an active, Tier-1 network of enterprise customer relationships across the Americas.
