Job Description

The Role:

The Project Management Intern supports Creative Design business operations, financial activities, and construction project management while gaining practical experience across multiple functions. Working under the guidance of finance, operations, and project professionals, the intern will assist with construction project management, track project information, and help coordinate communication and documentation among internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders. The intern will also work with creative staff to assist with design project management and studio logistics.


The Team:

The team supports design business operations, finance, construction project management, and studio logistics. This role works with finance, business operations, project teams, creative staff, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.


What You’ll Do:

· Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, purchase orders, expense records, and transaction processing.

· Prepare monthly financial reports, project schedules, status summaries, meeting materials, and presentations.

· Track construction project documentation, milestones, budgets, action items, change requests, and deliverables.

· Serve as a liaison among finance, business operations, project teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders by coordinating information and follow-up activities.

· Organize contracts, invoices, drawings, meeting notes, supporting records, and other project documentation.

· Review information for completeness and accuracy while following internal controls, safety expectations, and company procedures.


Required Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, construction management, project management, or a related field.

· Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.

· Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Basic understanding of business operations, accounting principles, financial transactions, or construction project processes through coursework or work experience.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formatting, and basic formulas.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

· Understanding of and ability to read and retrieve construction drawings and documentation.

· Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and accuracy.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and learn new systems and processes.

GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2027 Student Program - to help facilitate administration of relocation benefits, please apply using the permanent address you would move from.

Start Dates:

Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 2027.

Compensation:

• The salary for this role is $6,100 monthly.
