From the employer

About Fortuna Health

We believe accessing healthcare should be as simple as doing your taxes on TurboTax. But for the millions on Medicaid, it’s not.

Fortuna Health is redefining the consumer experience for Medicaid. We’re helping millions navigate Medicaid end-to-end from eligibility and enrollment to renewing coverage. We're backed by a16z, BoxGroup, YC, and top healthcare angels.

We believe this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to dramatically improve the human condition for 90M people, and we need the help of high-throughput, growth-minded builders to make it happen.

About the role

For companies like Abridge (Healthcare), Anduril (Defense), and Stripe (Fintech/Tax/Crypto), this person sits right at the intersection of Go-To-Market (GTM) and Regulatory Strategy.

Role Goal: Transform regulatory shifts, compliance mandates, and public policy into revenue growth and operational expansion. You will operate as a hybrid between strategy consulting, policy analysis, and business development - driving proactive GTM strategies while resolving local policy and operational friction points in key markets.

What you'll do

Consultative Sales Work with the CEO to pitch decision-makers — CEOs, CFOs, COOs, SVPs of Revenue Cycle, Chief Compliance Officers, and more — on how Fortuna's product solves upcoming or existing regulatory challenges.

Regulatory Lead Generation Monitor state and federal legislation and regulatory changes to identify new commercial opportunities, target buyer personas, and geographic expansion priorities.

Collateral & Policy Positioning Turn complex 200-page policy releases into pitch decks, memos, and ROI models for the growth team.

Coalition & Ecosystem BD Educate states and counties about Fortuna's work and support model. Partner with policy organizations, industry associations, and regulatory working groups to build Fortuna's presence in Medicaid and government program policy circles.

What we're looking for

Storyteller and Dot-Connector

You have a world-class ability to connect the dots and distill dense legal and policy frameworks into executive-ready material - decks, memos, and more.

Commercially Driven

You're motivated by growth metrics, pipeline generation, and real business impact. You see policy not as a risk function, but as a sales catalyst.

Pragmatic "Get-It-Done" Mentality

Policy and growth aren't armchair exercises to you. You're unafraid to dive into local politics, drive to meet with state administrators, and want to be in the field.

High Ambiguity Tolerance

You excel at structured problem-solving in unstructured, rapidly evolving situations.

Respectful Disagreement

We believe it's crucial to be able to openly disagree with anyone on the team. We're looking for someone who doesn't shy away from conflict but is respectful and empathetic in their approach and always open to different ideas.

Humility

It's important to be able to admit when you're wrong. We're looking for a low-ego teammate who can take failures in stride and grow from them.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication - the idea of presenting to a room of senior healthcare or government leadership excites you, not intimidates you

  • Willingness to travel for in-market meetings with state administrators, health plans, and coalition partners

  • Ability to work 5 days per week in-person in NYC
