From the employer

About the company

Our client is a sports technology company working with football clubs and youth academies across the GCC. Their mission is to make player development measurable, so that young players are assessed on evidence rather than opinion. They install fixed cameras at the pitch to capture every match and training session. Their models identify each player, track every touch, and build a development record that follows the player throughout their career.

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our commercial activity in Saudi Arabia. The role is focused on closing business with professional clubs, academies, federations and sports facilities across the Kingdom.

The company has existing senior-level relationships in Saudi football. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting these into signed agreements, and for developing new opportunities independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full sales cycle in Saudi Arabia, from first meeting through to signed contract.

• Lead meetings and presentations with club CEOs, academy directors and other senior decision makers, independently.

• Prepare and present commercial proposals, and negotiate pricing, contract terms and renewals.

• Develop new business opportunities across Saudi clubs, academies, schools and sports facilities.

• Coordinate site surveys and camera installations with the technical team, and support new customers through their first weeks of use.

• Maintain accurate records in the CRM, and provide regular pipeline reporting and revenue forecasts to the founders.

• Represent the company at relevant industry events and conferences within the Kingdom.

Requirements

• A minimum of ten years in business development, enterprise sales or key account management, with a demonstrable record of closing new business.

• Proven experience closing contracts with organisations based in Saudi Arabia, including multi-stakeholder sales cycles with contract values above SAR 300,000.

• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

• Based in Riyadh or Jeddah, or willing to relocate, and able to travel regularly within the Kingdom.

• Valid right to work in Saudi Arabia.

Candidates with experience in the following areas will be given preference:

• Selling into Saudi professional football clubs or the Saudi Pro League.

• Selling sports technology, including performance analysis, video analysis, wearables or stadium systems.

• Selling to government or semi-government entities, including the Ministry of Sport, national sports federations, Qiddiya, NEOM or PIF portfolio companies.

• Sponsorship or commercial rights sales within the sports industry.

• Enterprise software or SaaS sales within the Kingdom.

• Selling into schools, education groups or training academies.
