Basic Functions: Responsible for the governance, administration, training, and support of the University's Drupal content management system across AUB, AUBMC, AUB Online, AUB Mediterraneo, and affiliated websites.
Serves as the primary liaison between web editors, Communications, IT, and external vendors to ensure effective use of the Content Management System (CMS), adherence to web governance standards, and consistency across the University's digital presence. Leads training and support efforts for more than 250 distributed web editors and content contributors.

1. Duties Performed:

  • Administers day-to-day CMS operations, including user accounts, permissions, workflows, and content governance.
  • Develops and maintains web governance policies, standards, and publishing guidelines.
  • Coordinates onboarding, training, and continuous support for web editors across the University.
  • Designs and delivers workshops, training materials, documentation, tutorials, and best-practice guides.
  • Manages user roles, permissions, and access rights across websites and subsites.
  • Monitors compliance with content standards, accessibility requirements, and branding guidelines.
  • Conducts periodic audits of websites and departmental content.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for CMS-related support requests and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinates with developers, designers, IT staff, and external vendors regarding platform enhancements and upgrades.
  • Assists with website migration projects, testing, quality assurance, and rollout activities.
  • Tracks and reports on CMS usage, training participation, governance compliance, and platform adoption metrics.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve workflows, editor experience, and content quality.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

2. Work Contacts:

Works closely with the Digital Media Unit, web developers, Communications officers, IT staff, external vendors, and departmental web editors across the University.

3. Independence of Operation:

Reports directly to the Senior Web Master and exercises independent judgment in administering CMS governance and training activities.

4. Supervisory Responsibility:

None.

5. Physical Effort:

7. Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Information Management, Digital Media, Education Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of related experience such as managing content management systems, digital platforms, web governance, training, or related areas.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms; Drupal experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs for non-technical users.
  • Strong understanding of content workflows, permissions management, governance frameworks, and website administration.
  • Excellent organizational, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, web publishing practices, and digital content strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
