ABOUT THE ROLE
STO Building Group’s (STOBG’s) Enterprise Solutions team is looking for an end-to-end Marketing Director. Our marketing business partner will help us sharpen our position, tell our story, elevate how we show up, and ultimately help us win.
Based in our New York City office, this role sits at the intersection of brand, growth, client strategy, and pursuits. You’ll work directly with Enterprise Solutions leadership, account leaders, business development, and marketing teams across STOBG.
We’re looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and bring it to life: setting strategy, developing compelling content, shaping major pursuits, and creating standout presentations and campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy, Brand & Leadership
Develop and own the marketing strategy for Enterprise Solutions, ensuring consistency of voice, positioning, and brand standards
Partner with leadership, account executives and business development to align Enterprise Solutions initiatives with growth and pipeline goals, as well as account-based priorities
Serve as a strategic advisor to Enterprise Solutions leadership on brand positioning, market differentiation, and competitive messaging
Serve as steward of the Enterprise Solutions brand across the STOBG platform, ensuring consistent application of visual identity, voice, and messaging standards
Build and manage a KPI framework to measure marketing effectiveness across a long-cycle, relationship-driven sales environment
Content & Creative Direction
Develop storytelling themes, positioning statements, and messaging frameworks
Oversee thought leadership content (bylines, case studies, podcasts, white papers) that establishes Enterprise Solutions’ expertise with clients and industry partners
Guide the visual and verbal brand identity across print, digital, and presentation formats
Pursuits & Information Management
Lead marketing strategy and execution for RFP/RFQ pursuits from qualification through interview, including go/no-go input, kickoff and meeting management, win themes, and competitive positioning
Develop and maintain a library of reusable proposal content, project data sheets, resumes, photography, client testimonials and past-performance narratives
Lead interview/presentation preparation, including storyboarding, visual aids, and coaching pursuit teams on message delivery
Conduct debriefs to capture lessons learned and continuously improve pursuit strategy and materials
Track pursuit volume, win rates, and hit ratios to inform resource allocation and future go/no-go decisions
Go-to-Market Campaigns
Design and lead go-to-market campaigns for strategic initiatives — from positioning and messaging through channel plan and launch
Define target audience segments and craft campaign narratives tailored to clients, consultants, and industry partners at each stage of the pipeline
Set and track campaign-level KPIs (awareness, engagement, pipeline influence)
External & Internal Communications
Own external communications strategy, including press releases, media relations, award submissions, and executive visibility/speaking opportunities
Develop and maintain messaging platforms and talking points for executives and account leaders
Develop internal campaigns and content (newsletters, town halls, leadership messaging) that reinforce culture and connect to the broader business story
Partner with Client Experience Manager on communications and events supporting client engagement initiatives
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Own paid and organic social strategy, including budget allocation and campaign targeting for sponsored/paid social
Develop and maintain a content calendar that balances project showcases, thought leadership, culture/employer-brand content, and industry commentary
Manage the Enterprise Solutions website page’s content strategy and analytics (Google Analytics or equivalent)
Oversee email marketing programs — segmentation, automation, and nurture sequences for prospects, clients, and industry contacts
Track digital performance metrics across channels and translate results into actionable recommendations
Guide employee advocacy and executive thought-leadership presence on social channels
Stay current on emerging digital marketing tools and platforms (including AI-driven content and analytics tools) relevant to B2B marketing
Team & Process Management
Build and manage a team of marketing coordinators and/or designers
Manage external agency and freelance relationships as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
8–12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with at least 3–5+ years in a leadership role
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom), web-based tools, and Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to create and manage graphic design assets
Familiarity with CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce) and marketing automation tools (i.e., OpenAsset, Cosential, Monday.com)
Experience in A/E/C, real estate, or professional services/technical B2B sector a plus
Proven track record developing winning proposals and qualifications materials in a pursuit-driven business
Strong writing and editing skills; ability to translate technical/operational detail into clear, confident client-facing narrative
Experience building and reporting on marketing KPIs in a long-cycle B2B sales environment
Demonstrated experience planning and executing go-to-market campaigns, from strategy through launch
Hands-on experience with external communications/PR and internal/employee communications
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms — website CMS/analytics, email/marketing automation, paid social, and SEO/SEM fundamentals
Comfort working across multiple brands with varying stakeholder needs
SALARY RANGE
Desired salary range is $140K-165k annually, depending on years of experience. Eligible for a discretionary bonus based upon company and individual performance.
