Master of Science in AI and Digital Media (AIDM)

The Master of Science in AI and Digital Media (AIDM) program is an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme focusing on the application of big data analytics and AI for media and communication. The programme is looking for Part-time Lecturer(s) to teach postgraduate course(s) in the following courses:

  • AIDM7900 Agentic AI in Digital Media - This course equips students to design, build, evaluate, and govern agentic AI systems for digital communication and media. Students learn foundational concepts in generative AI and agent architectures and develop working agents using no-code tools and "vibe coding" workflows.
  • AIDM7910 AI Product Management in Media — Equipping students with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills in AI product management. Topics include core product management principles, AI/ML fundamentals for product managers, the AI product development lifecycle, design thinking, business strategy, metrics, monetisation, and ethics and regulation in AI media products.

The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree or above in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Communication, Media Management, Business, Digital Media, or a closely related field (a doctoral degree is preferred). Demonstrable hands-on experience with generative AI/LLMs, AI agent development, or substantial professional experience in product management (specifically with direct involvement in AI-driven or data-driven products in media, technology, or internet sectors) is highly valued. Previous university or postgraduate teaching experience is preferred. As the medium of instruction is English, an excellent command of English at the postgraduate level is required. Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a passion for mentoring students are also essential.

Duties include delivering 13 weekly three-hour in-person sessions (39 contact hours) per course in accordance with the approved course syllabus and Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs); preparing and updating teaching materials (lecture slides, hands-on exercises, case studies); designing, administering, and grading all assessment components (individual assignments, quizzes, and final group projects); providing timely feedback; holding regular student consultation hours; submitting grade reports according to deadlines; and any other work as assigned by the Programme Director.

The initial appointment will be offered on a part-time basis commencing in Semester 2 of the 2026–27 academic year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and course availability.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
