What you'll do:
- Build deep knowledge of utility operations, buying structures, industry priorities, and the SaaS
solutions available to customers. - Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through targeted research, outreach, prospecting, and
opportunity development within utility accounts. - Create relationships with multiple decision-makers and influencers within complex
organizations. - Lead consultative, value-based sales cycles directly and in partnership with channel partners.
- Advance and close enterprise opportunities, including deals exceeding $100,000 in annual
contract value. - Develop and execute utility-focused sales programs with Marketing, Business Development, and
channel partners to reach priority buyers and create pipeline. - Meet or exceed sales and quarterly bookings goals; maintain accurate opportunity, forecast, and
activity records in Salesforce.
What you'll bring:
- At least 5 years of successful enterprise SaaS sales experience specifically selling into the utilities industry, with a demonstrated record of winning large accounts in power generation, transmission, distribution, or other large public or private utilities.
- Experience developing and executing sales programs for the utilities industry, with measurable results in pipeline creation or revenue growth.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, written communication, and closing skills.
- History of meeting or exceeding quota, supported by measurable results.
- Comfort using Salesforce and applying AI tools to improve research, productivity, or sales workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work from the United States, live within practical reach of a major airport, and travel at least 30%.
Nice to have:
- Experience opening new markets or winning new customers (“hunter” sales experience).
- Success growing revenue in existing utility accounts and building durable relationships across utility buying teams.
- Deep utility industry experience and established relationships across power generation, transmission, distribution, or other large utility organizations; 15 or more years of relevant experience is a plus.
- Experience managing a high volume of opportunities and navigating security-conscious buying environments; an active security clearance is a plus.
