Who this fits
This mid-level role suits an analyst who can connect data work to marketing decisions and collaborate with technical and platform teams without serving as an engineer. It is a full-time, permanent, onsite position in Cape Town, South Africa, reporting to senior marketing leadership.

Building Marketing for 2030
Marketing at Euromonitor is entering a genuinely exciting period. We're building a super-modern, AI-agentic marketing function, one that's data-driven, automated and commercially focused from the ground up, designed for how B2B marketing will work in 2030, not how it worked in 2015.
This is the kind of opportunity that comes along rarely: joining at the point where the tools, the workflows and the ways of working are still being defined, not maintained. If you've got the drive to do things differently, to build something better rather than just operate inside what already exists, this is exactly the environment for you.
It's an ambitious moment, and it calls for people who want to be at the forefront of that change: restless, commercially minded, and excited by what AI and great data can do for a marketing function when they're built in properly from day one.
Purpose of the role
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Cape Town, South Africa, reporting into senior marketing leadership. It exists to make sure marketing's data actually works for the business: data lives across a number of different systems, and how well it's structured and connected determines how good marketing's reporting, targeting and decision-making can be. This role owns that problem: understanding how data currently moves between systems, recommending how it should be structured and connected instead, and turning the result into reporting that helps marketing spot opportunities and risks early.
It also plays a leading role in a specific opportunity: getting Euromonitor's own data, the market and consumer intelligence available through the Passport platform, into marketing's own communications and content. Euromonitor sells data and insight for a living; this role helps marketing use that same strength to tell a sharper, more credible story about the business itself.
You'll work closely with technical and platform teams throughout, so you should be comfortable operating alongside the people who build and maintain these systems, understanding broadly how they work and how data flows between them, even though this isn't a hands-on engineering role. You'll use AI tools throughout to get there faster.
Key Responsibilities
- Map how marketing data flows across systems, identifying structural gaps, duplication and breakpoints
- Recommend improvements to how data is structured and connected across systems, to improve the accuracy and usability of reporting
- Partner closely with technical and platform teams to implement agreed data structure and integration changes, comfortable understanding how these systems work and how data moves between them, without needing to be a platform expert yourself
- Lead the effort to get Euromonitor's own market and consumer data, drawn from the Passport platform, into marketing communications and content
- Build and maintain reporting (including Power BI) that gives marketing leadership clear visibility into performance, opportunities and risks
- Work with large, often messy, cross-system datasets to identify trends, opportunities and risks for the business
- Use AI tools to speed up data analysis, reporting production and pattern identification
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in a data analyst, marketing analytics or similar role, including experience working with data across more than one system
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets, including navigating structural gaps and inconsistencies, not just clean data
- Strong reporting skills, including Power BI or an equivalent BI tool
- Comfortable working alongside technical and platform teams, able to understand, at a working level, how systems are built and how data flows between them, even without being a platform expert yourself
- Knowledge of B2B marketing is preferred but not required
- Confident presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Some experience working with AI, whether in a professional role or through personal projects, is something we look for in every hire joining Euromonitor Marketing right now
- Fluent English is a must
Benefits
- Flexible work time with the perfect work/life balance
- Competitive salary with wide variety of benefits like longer holidays, additional health insurance, social responsibility initiatives you can take part in, office perks
