The Opportunity
Engine is a fast-growing company, and much of that momentum comes from our Go-to-Market teams (comprising Partnerships, Business Development, Sales and Expansion). This is where strategy meets the customer, where new business gets won, and where existing relationships become long-term growth. GTM leaders need a communications partner who can match that pace, cut through complexity, and activate hundreds of commercial teammates around what matters and what's next.
This is a high-impact role partnering directly with our Chief Business Officer and the VP leaders of Partnerships, Business Development, Sales and Expansion. You'll be the trusted comms advisor these leaders turn to for clarity, alignment, and change management across a ~350 person organization with both a remote and in-office population.
We move fast at Engine, and clear communications help employees keep pace. Slack is our primary platform, layered with a weekly all-hands, quarterly in-person town halls, and an annual company summit. You'll have the tools, design support, and high-impact in-person moments to make it all land.
What You'll Do
- Embed with GTM leadership. Serve as the go-to comms partner to Engine's Chief Business Officer and leaders across Partnerships, Business Development, Sales and Expansion, building deep understanding of their teams, priorities, and communication needs.
- Translate strategy into clarity. Turn GTM strategy into clear, compelling communications that resonate across the commercial org and the broader company.
- Drive comms plans for the moments that matter. Own the comms strategy and execution for major GTM moments: sales kickoffs, QBRs, incentive rollouts, org changes, leadership transitions, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Craft the narrative. Write and produce materials for GTM all-hands, town halls, leader videos, executive memos, and manager cascades.
- Operate cross-functionally. Partner with Product Delivery, Marketing, People, and Finance to ensure GTM comms land with consistency, energy, and impact.
- Coach leaders. Support GTM leaders on their own communications, from written memos to live all-hands.
- Build with AI. Design and maintain repeatable projects, agents, and automations that capture templated approaches and learn individual leader tone of voice, so comms scales without losing signal and leaders can self-serve where it makes sense.
What You Bring
- 7+ years in internal communications, executive communications, or GTM enablement, ideally in a fast-scaling tech, SaaS, or B2B environment.
- A track record supporting senior commercial leaders (CBO, CRO, VP Sales, VP Partnerships, VP Business Development), with the confidence and judgment to be their trusted advisor.
- Deep fluency with GTM motions. You know how sales, account management, partnerships, and business development actually operate, and you can translate commercial strategy into language that lands with frontline teams.
- Exceptional writing and editorial instincts. You can shift voice, tighten a message, and make a leader sound like their best self.
- A strong operator's brain: you build plans, sequence messages, and run comms as a program, not one-off deliverables.
- Comfort with ambiguity, including partnering with leaders through periods of transition and change.
- Discretion, integrity, and the maturity to be trusted with sensitive information.
