I. Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Sales Strategy & Operations serves as a strategic leader responsible for driving sales effectiveness, operational excellence, and long-term customer growth initiatives across the sales organization. Ensuring a world-class customer service experience across all areas of the sales cycle will be a primary responsibility.

This corporate leadership role acts as the primary liaison between Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Digital, AI Governance, Privacy, and other key business partners to develop and execute enterprise sales strategies that improve revenue growth, productivity, customer retention, and sales performance.

The role combines strategic planning, sales operations, business performance management, sales enablement, and technology optimization to ensure alignment between corporate objectives and execution. The Senior Manager is responsible for translating business priorities into actionable sales strategies, monitoring performance against key metrics, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing programs that enhance sales productivity and customer experience.

This leader provides visibility to executive leadership on business performance, market trends, forecasting, pipeline health, and strategic initiatives while developing and coaching a team that support organizational growth objectives.


II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships with Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Digital teams to name a few to ensure consistent execution and alignment on organizational objectives.
  • Lead enterprise initiatives requiring coordination across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
  • Build frameworks for various Go-to-Market strategies that support geographic expansion and channel optimization
  • Communicate strategic priorities, business performance, and organizational updates to corporate stakeholders.
  • Develops and implements long range goals and objectives which promotes the achievement of assigned revenue goals.
  • Engage with Corporate Partners within WM Digital, Privacy, AI Governance and Procurement to support ongoing platforms as well as pursuit of new features/functionality to improve/increase revenue, productivity, efficiency, employee retention and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement a variety of reporting dashboards, CRM tools, and AI driven solutions to support WM’s Disciplined Growth Strategy.
  • Ensures the achievement of daily KPIs and performance metrics including, but not limited; calls and telephony, lead generation, Cadence & Ambition utilization, campaigns, and proposals resulting in new sales growth, etc.
  • Inform and educate management on issues affecting the performance of their teams including but not limited to systems, telephonic platforms, 3rd party vendor interactions, staffing models, contingency workforce, recruitment, employee retention, SSDO certifications, channel performance and interdepartmental relations.


III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant experience.
  • Five years of experience in Sales Strategy, Sales Improvement or a similar analytical role (in addition to education requirement)


B. Preferred Qualifications

  • Utilization and creation of data visitation software to guide sales teams through their strategy and execution, prior experience leading and mentoring high success teams.
