The Shape of the Role
You’ll build strong working relationships with OpenAI’s go-to-market teams, identify customer opportunities together, and own Eliza’s sales process from the first introduction through a signed engagement.
Your job is to become someone OpenAI’s team trusts with its customers. That means understanding their priorities, knowing where Eliza can help, responding quickly, and following through. You’ll turn that trust into a consistent pipeline and take responsibility for closing the business you create.

Own the full sales cycle. Run discovery, qualify opportunities, build relationships with decision-makers, and lead proposals, commercial discussions, negotiation, and close.
Connect customer needs to a clear engagement. Work with Eliza’s technical and delivery teams to define the right approach, scope, pricing, and expected outcomes.
Keep deals moving. Establish concrete next steps, understand budget and approval processes, address blockers, and coordinate everyone involved in the decision.
Keep partners informed. Give OpenAI counterparts useful updates on introductions, deal progress, and customer outcomes so they can confidently bring you into the next opportunity.
Run a disciplined pipeline. Maintain accurate CRM records, realistic forecasts, and clear ownership of every opportunity.
Support a strong handoff to delivery. Ensure the team understands what was sold, why the customer bought, and what success looks like. Stay close enough to identify follow-on opportunities.

Clear communication and dependable follow-through. People trust you to prepare, respond, and do what you said you would do.
Curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn the technology well enough to have useful conversations with customers and technical colleagues.
The initiative to build your own pipeline and manage competing priorities without constant direction.
