Role SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Thermal Service Engineer to be based in Saudi Arabia, responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of thermal management solutions across the KSA region. The role will also provide secondary support to the wider Middle East region as required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installation, commissioning, and start-up of precision cooling and thermal management systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, condensers, and related infrastructure).
- Execute scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with OEM standards and customer SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve complex thermal system faults, including refrigeration circuits, controls, and BMS integration.
- Provide technical support and emergency response for critical data center and telecom environments across KSA.
- Extend field support to the broader Middle East region (UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq) on a rotational or as-needed basis.
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports, site assessments, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with the regional service delivery team, project managers, and channel partners to ensure seamless service execution.
- Support warranty claims, spare parts identification, and escalation management.
- Maintain compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior engineers and channel partner technicians.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in servicing precision cooling / thermal management systems, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, psychrometrics, and HVAC controls.
- Experience with Vertiv (Liebert) thermal products is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with BMS integration and remote monitoring platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Certifications: Refrigerant handling certification; F-Gas or equivalent is a plus.
- Languages: English (required); Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Licensing: Valid driving license; ability to obtain a Saudi Iqama/work permit.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within KSA (up to 60%) and across the Middle East region (up to 20%).
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently in remote or customer-facing environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management abilities.
- Adaptable to working in high-temperature outdoor conditions typical of the Gulf region.
