Who this fits

This role suits an early-career communications professional interested in healthcare and pharmaceutical work; prior health communications experience is a plus, not a requirement. You’ll work from Bogotá and may guide junior teammates when appropriate.

From the employer

Edelman is a voice synonymous with trust, reimagining a future where the currency of communication is action. Our culture thrives on three promises: boldness is possibility, empathy is progress, and curiosity is momentum.

At Edelman, we understand diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) transform our colleagues, our company, our clients, and our communities. We are in relentless pursuit of an equitable and inspiring workplace that is respectful of all, reflects and represents the world in which we live, and fosters trust, collaboration and belonging.

Edelman is looking for an Account Executive to join our Health team in Bogotá. This is an opportunity for a communications professional who is curious about the healthcare landscape and excited to build strong relationships with media, clients and other key stakeholders.

You’ll support communications programs for clients primarily within the pharmaceutical industry, working alongside a collaborative team to develop compelling content, execute communications strategies and help shape conversations that matter in health.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive and curious communications professional with strong writing skills and an understanding of how media relations works. You enjoy collaborating with others, building relationships and learning about complex topics. Previous healthcare experience is a plus, but it’s not required—we’re interested in people who bring a genuine curiosity for the health sector and are eager to continue developing their expertise.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute communications tactics and coordinate day-to-day activities across client programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, edit and review high-quality content for internal and external audiences.
  • Contribute to communications proposals and ideas based on client needs.
  • Support social and digital communications activities aligned with client objectives.
  • Conduct research to understand media, industry and broader economic, political and social trends.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across different levels, providing guidance to junior team members when appropriate.
  • Support multiple client workstreams while maintaining strong organization, attention to detail and quality.

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 1–2 years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience working with media and journalists, with a good understanding of media relations.
  • Professional proficiency in English (B2 level or above) to collaborate with clients and regional teams.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work across multiple priorities and client needs.
  • Interest in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry; previous experience in Health Communications is a plus.

We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
