From the employer

What’s the Opportunity

DoneDeal.ie is Ireland's largest online car marketplace, with over 2.2 million monthly users across our website and apps and 90% of all car dealerships in Ireland advertising on our platform. We’re driven by the opportunity to enhance the buying and selling experience so if you’re excited to do impactful work that reaches hundreds of thousands of people daily, this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the launch and adoption of our new dealer solutions. They’re designed to help dealerships sell more cars, faster, and this is a new area of growth for DoneDeal Cars. While our account management team looks after our existing advertising and sales solutions, you will focus solely on winning dealers onto the new solutions.

Most of your target dealers already know and use DoneDeal, and you’ll get warm introductions from the wider Sales and Account teams. You’ll own the pipeline, the pitch and the push to go-live, working closely with Customer Success, Product and Marketing along the way.

How you’ll Create with Impact

  • Winning dealers: Pitch our new dealer solutions by phone, in meetings and on dealer forecourts, showing dealers why they are worth adopting.

  • Driving volume: Combine warm introductions from the wider team with your own prospecting, keeping outbound activity high and persistent so no deal stalls.

  • Handling objections: Deal with dealer concerns head-on, including change aversion, existing commitments and the effort of making a switch.

  • Owning it to go-live: Take each dealer from first conversation to agreement, lead initial onboarding and data gathering, and stay involved after handover to Customer Success until they are live.

  • Running your pipeline: Manage prospecting through to close across a large target list of dealers, with accurate forecasting of conversions and timelines.

  • Working across teams: Partner with Sales, Customer Success and Product to recommend improvements to the new dealer solutions, and with Marketing to sharpen the collateral that takes them to market.

  • Reporting back: Give leadership regular feedback on what’s working, what isn’t and what the reception is in the market.

What you’ll need to Play your Part

  • 3+ years’ sales experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets

  • A strong closer: resilient, persistent and determined to push every deal through to live

  • Comfortable spending the day on the phones, and willing to visit dealers in person

  • Experience managing a sales process end to end, including onboarding, because this role doesn’t hand off at the close

  • Self-motivated and independent, with the discipline to manage a large target list and own a line of business with minimal supervision

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly

  • Comfortable working closely with Customer Success, Product, Marketing and the wider Sales team

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce a bonus) and comfort learning new digital products
