Who this fits

Current Disney program participants may work for only one consecutive year across internships and programs. A creative portfolio is required for the Creative Studio opportunity.

About the Role & Program


Working at ESPN means helping shape how sports fans experience the biggest moments in sports across every platform. From breaking news and live events to studio shows and original storytelling, ESPN reaches millions of fans each day through social media, television, streaming, and digital platforms.


We are looking for interns to join one or more of our exciting teams supporting ESPN Sports Marketing or ESPN Creative Studio! Each role offers unique opportunities to contribute to meaningful work. Candidates may be considered for more than one opportunity based on skills and experience.


The approximate dates for this internship are January – May 2027.


What You Will Do


ESPN Sports Marketing


As an ESPN Sports Marketing Intern, you'll join a team responsible for leading campaign and media strategy, spend, budgeting and fan engagement. In this role, you'll help support the planning and execution of various marketing strategies and campaigns across MLB, Golf, Tennis, and Lacrosse on ESPN portfolio, including Spring priorities (MLB.TV, PGA Tour Live, Masters and Australian Open).


ESPN Creative Studio


As an ESPN Creative Studio Post Edit Intern, you'll join a team of creative storytellers who tell a story through short and long form features, content packages, digital experiences, animation, highlights, marketing, ad sales, and sound. In this role, you'll use your technical editing background and experience to learn about the editing sports content process relevant to ESPN-produced studio & event productions.


Required Qualifications & Skills


  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and projects
  • Experience or coursework in marketing, creative production, post-production, or a related area, with an understanding of relevant industry principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Organized and proactive self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with an interest in developing engaging marketing, content, or storytelling solutions
  • Editing experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and/or After Effects, or demonstrated experience with similar non-linear editing tools

Preferred Qualifications & Skills


  • Previous internship, campus, academic, or project experience related to sports marketing, creative production, or post-production editing
  • Working knowledge of the sports and media landscape, including major sports leagues, ESPN’s portfolio, and direct-to-consumer platforms
  • Interest in current trends, culture, social media, and emerging technologies and how they can influence marketing and creative storytelling
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of partners, including marketers, editors, producers, and production teams
  • Demonstrated interest in creative storytelling, content development, and audience engagement across platforms

Education


  • Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Communications, Marketing, Sports Media or related major preferred

Recruitment Timeline


  • Applicants will receive updates throughout the selection process, with communication taking place between October and November
  • Candidates selected to move forward will be notified of the specific internship opportunity for which they are being considered

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:


  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information


  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area
  • Fully available from Monday through Friday, 40 hours each week



The pay rate for this role in New York City is $23.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
