About the Role & Program:
The Brand Strategy Intern for Games will support marketing strategy across assigned licensed titles within the Disney & Pixar Games global portfolio by partnering with licensees to deliver world-class campaigns. You will help Games licensees successfully implement go-to-market plans by reviewing marketing assets that build brand awareness, engage consumers, and drive conversions through thoughtful brand storytelling, data-driven insights, and creative innovation. As a part of our team, you will play a meaningful role in coordinating schedules, processes, and deliverables for all assigned titles while working within a dynamic environment with stakeholders and partners.
During this six-month, full-time, in-person internship in Glendale, CA, you will report to the Brand Strategy Manager.
What You Will Do:
Partner with multidisciplinary teams, including Product Development, Creative Development, PR, Legal, Brand, and Synergy, to align on feedback and secure approvals for key marketing deliverables and licensee activations.
On any given day, you might:
- Coordinate asset deliveries for assigned titles, using asset management tools and directories to track projects and ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables
- Manage internal team processes and meeting agendas, following up on action items to ensure timely completion
- Draft and distribute guidance, updates, scheduling, and protocols pertaining to assigned titles
- Coordinate marketing calendar support by scheduling and tracking social/community activations and CRM communications
- Draft, proofread, and edit public-facing marketing copy and communications
- Develop knowledge of important metrics and reporting, marketing tactics, and Disney Synergy programs
- Learn appropriate benchmarks and goals across greater marketing channels and campaigns
- Become a strong brand steward for The Walt Disney Company to deliver on-brand marketing while fostering relationships with both external licensees and internal teams
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in Marketing, preferably within the gaming industry
- Knowledge of brand management, product marketing, and user acquisition
- Meticulous organizational skills coupled with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and grow
- The ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of personalities while problem solving and multi-tasking
- Skilled at analyzing data and drawing meaningful insights
- Excellent writing proficiency and presentation style
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Passion for the entertainment industry, specifically gaming and consumer electronics
- Strong Proficiency with Keynote/PowerPoint, Excel, and Airtable (or other similar project management tools)
Education
- Currently enrolled as Junior or Senior, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Games or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
- Must be able to have a consistent, reliable full-time work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 11th- June 6th, 2027
- Must provide own housing during the internship in the Glendale, CA area
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
