Job Description:

The SEO Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all account work, personnel, and client communication related to the SEO team. The SEO Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day SEO Operations, handling all personnel issues, ensuring all tasks are executed to standard, processes are followed, and the team is consistently upskilled. The SEO Supervisor needs to balance hands-on SEO work with oversight of team responsibilities, to maintain quality and efficiency across projects.

Essential Functions:

Creating and executing on-page and off-page SEO strategies.

Coordinating with onshore management to drive ongoing performance improvement.

Manage day-to-day activities of the team including scheduling, communicating process, policies, performance, quality expectations, technical and product updates, as well as department and company information.

Provide management and professional guidance to team members through regular one-on-one meetings, regular team meetings, monthly quality reviews, quarterly and annual performance goals and reviews, documenting and delivering timely performance and behavior feedback while taking appropriate disciplinary actions as required.

Manage team to ensure adequate account coverage through team schedules and back-ups. Responsible for determining staffing needs, recruiting, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations. Responsible for coaching and developing staff to meet or exceed job expectations as well as counsel and helping direct career development.

Work with product teams to verify the ongoing development and delivery of products and services that will impact team effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry-specific experience

Minimum of 3+ years SEO experience 2 years in a lead/mentor position

Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines

Advanced HTML and CSS knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (focus on Excel, Microsoft Word)

Experience with SEO/Site auditing tools (Screaming Frog)

Excellent content writing and content editing ability

Proficient in Google Analytics and data analysis

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Advanced experience in Local SEO

Past Automotive Experience

Ability to confidently communicate with car dealers

PR and outreach experience

Experience managing processes for a large team of SEO Specialists

Google Analytics / GA4 Certification
