From the employer

DAZN is looking for a mid-weight Video Editor to join our newly created US arm of Balboa Global, our in-house creative agency. The role’s primary remit is to cut high-impact campaign content across NBA, MLB, and NHL. You'll work across social-first hype edits, campaign hero assets, broadcast promos, sponsorship and brand-partner deliverables, and highlight-driven storytelling — shaping raw game footage, league feeds, and shoot footage into fast-paced, emotionally-charged content built for how fans watch sports today.

This role calls for someone fluent in each league's storytelling rhythm — the pace and physicality of NHL, the style and swagger of NBA, the drama and tradition of MLB — and able to translate that into sharp, on-brand edits under tight, game-driven deadlines.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
  • Edit campaign and social promo content of NBA, MLB, and NHL teams that feature across DAZN US, including paid marketing video assets, hype reels, social cutdowns, digital ads, and broadcast-adjacent promos
  • Cut from raw game footage, league-supplied feeds, B-roll, and original shoot footage to build compelling sports narratives
  • Build assets to platform-specific specs (DAZN wholly-owned inventory, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, CTV, stadium/jumbotron) with attention to pacing, hooks, and sound design
  • Collaborate closely with the local creative team, comprised of Motion Designers, Designers, and Copywriters to bring concepts from brief to finished cut.
  • Align with global DAZN brand direction and TOV and collaborate with global Balboa leadership.
  • Sync and integrate motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and stat overlays delivered by the design team
  • Manage multiple concurrent edits across leagues/teams with fast turnarounds tied to game schedules, playoffs, trade news, and other real-time sports moments
  • Organize and manage footage libraries, project files, and version control across concurrent live projects
  • Ensure all edits comply with league, team, and player-likeness usage guidelines and DAZN brand standards
  • Support pitch and pre-sale decks with polished sizzle edits when needed
  • 3–5 years — of professional video editing experience, ideally with sports, entertainment, or live-event content
  • Strong reel demonstrating sports or high-energy campaign editing (NBA, MLB, NHL, or similar leagues/sports brands strongly preferred)
  • Expert proficiency in Premiere Pro — (required); working knowledge of After Effects for basic titling/comp work a plus
  • Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and story structure, with an ear for music and sound design
  • Experience working with sports footage, broadcast feeds, stat graphics, and archival/league content
  • Ability to juggle multiple fast-turnaround edits tied to live sports calendars (game days, playoffs, trade deadlines, etc.)
  • Comfort taking direction from Art Directors/Creative Directors while bringing your own editorial point of view
  • Strong organizational skills and file management habits (version control, naming conventions, media management)
  • Comfortable at incorporating new AI and automation tools into your workflow to enhance creativity and efficiencies.
