Position Summary
As a member of the PR & Communications team, the Content Specialist will be a key contributor to the firm’s website and marketing materials, ensuring that the firm’s digital presence clearly and consistently reflects its priorities, expertise and institutional voice
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create compelling, on-brand copy for a variety of audiences
Edit announcements of the firm’s work for internal and external distribution in a fast-paced daily review process with Business Development colleagues
Proofread various content to ensure adherence to firm style and editorial guidelines
Draft, edit and revise content across the firm’s public website, including practice pages and lawyer bios
Help implement website updates to align with GEO best practices
Assist in regular refreshes of firm brochures and other printed collateral
Track changes to clients’ marketing restrictions and perform audits of the website and marketing materials to ensure compliance
Other projects as needed
Qualifications/Position Requirements
Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills
Ability to understand complex information and translate it into accessible copy for a variety of audiences
Excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams
Education and/or Experience
At least 3-5 years of writing or content marketing experience
Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm, or as a legal or business journalist preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 - $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
