Who this fits

This is a field leadership role for someone who coaches reps in person and owns regional results. You’ll build a new Central US team, with a home office anywhere from Minnesota to Texas and travel of about half your time.

From the employer

About the role:

Curri is seeking an Area Sales Manager, Outside Sales – Central US to build and lead a brand-new region of our field sales team, from Minnesota to Texas. This leader will own every OSR and market in the region and be accountable for its activity, signups, new locations and revenue. Success means a fully staffed, well-coached team that launches the Central region in Q1 2027 and hits its numbers.

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach and hold accountable a team of Outside Sales Reps across the Central US against visit, signup, new-location and revenue goals.

  • Spend most weeks on the road for ride-alongs, field coaching and key-account visits, making sure every rep runs the OSR playbook.

  • Run the regional operating rhythm, including the weekly regional call, Monday power hour, daily rally, 1:1s, Friday Salesforce log reviews, route reviews and end-of-day feedback.

  • Recruit, interview, onboard and ramp new OSRs for open and split Central territories, and manage performance plans when reps fall short.

  • Build the regional plan for priority markets, key logos and territory coverage, and report performance through scorecards, Salesforce and Metabase with clear insights and resource asks for the Director of Field Sales.

  • Partner with Market Managers, Account Managers and enterprise sales on key logos, handoffs, and supply and fleet needs across the region.

What you need to have:

  • 5+ years of B2B field or outside sales, including 2+ years leading or coaching a field team as a team lead, branch manager or district manager, and a home base in the Central US with the ability to travel about 50%.

  • A coaching style built in the field, where you make reps better through ride-alongs, role-plays and fast, direct feedback rather than managing from a desk.

  • Data-driven accountability, running a team off activity and conversion metrics in Salesforce and reporting tools like Metabase, and acting on gaps before they become misses.

  • Hands-on experience hiring and ramping field reps, with an eye for spotting talent quickly and the discipline to put underperformers on a documented plan.

  • Regional ownership and operational rigor, prioritizing territories across many markets at once while keeping routes, CRM hygiene and weekly cadence tight.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience selling into building-supply distributors (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing or lumber) or managing a distribution branch, retail locations, and / or logistics programs.

  • Having launched a new sales territory or region from scratch.

  • A track record of promoting reps from your team into bigger roles.

  • Results you can point to on team attainment, ramp time and retention.

What is in it for you?

  • The chance to be the first leader of Curri’s Central region, building your team and playbook rather than inheriting someone else’s.

  • Ownership of an entire region’s results, reporting to the Director of Field Sales at a company that delivers for the biggest names in building supply.

  • A real path to Director, since Curri promotes its field leaders from within.

  • Competitive salary, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, 401K).

  • A field-based role with a home office anywhere in the Central US (Minnesota to Texas) and about 50% travel across the region.

  • A high-growth, mission-driven environment where your work has direct and measurable impact.
