This role will help drive internal communications across a rapidly transforming business, while also supporting public relations and corporate communications for our commercial business. You’ll work with people across the organisation from senior leaders to teams closest to our customers and products to build a strong understanding of what is happening, why it matters and how we should communicate it.

It will suit someone who enjoys pace, change and variety, and who is comfortable engaging with lots of different people to form a well-informed point of view. You’ll need the communications fundamentals strong judgement, excellent writing, audience awareness and the ability to execute but just as importantly, you’ll bring curiosity, initiative and an appetite to understand the business behind the message.

If you’re someone who likes understanding how businesses work, the industries they operate in and what motivates and engages people, this is a role where those instincts will matter.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive employee engagement by developing and delivering internal communications that connect employees to the company's strategy, priorities, achievements and transformation journey.
  • Support leadership communications, including executive messaging, business updates, organisational announcements and key change initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to identify stories, milestones, successes and opportunities that should be shared with employees and external audiences.
  • Develop an understanding of the commercial property sector, including the market, customers, competitors, key issues and industry trends.
  • Monitor industry news, economic developments, policy issues and market activity to identify insights, risks and opportunities relevant to the business.
  • Provide support for public relations activities, including media monitoring, journalist research, briefing preparation and identifying opportunities for earned media coverage.
  • Be a proactive and collaborative member of the communications team who can move seamlessly between strategic projects, day-to-day delivery and emerging business priorities.

About You:

  • 8+ years' experience in government or legal affairs, public relations, corporate communications, journalism, content, media or a related field.
  • Experience developing content across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Experience supporting internal communications programs, media relations activities or corporate communications initiatives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Exposure to commercial property, real estate, business media, financial services, infrastructure or related sectors is advantageous.
