Who this fits

You’ll suit a relationship-led senior business development role that combines prospecting, dealmaking, customer ownership, and hands-on regional execution. You’ll work from the Hong Kong office, report to the Head of International Expansion, APAC, and travel heavily for more than thirty percent of the role. The job calls for comfort with ambiguity, genuine interest in the collecting hobby, and alignment with global or U.S. headquarters.

From the employer

Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.

Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, the UK, and France.

As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.

We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.

We're looking for a BD Manager, PSA Hong Kong to join our team and drive 10x submission growth in the geo through hands-on business development and customer engagement. This role is first and foremost about winning partnerships, building relationships, and delivering an incredible experience to our customers — while expanding the Collectors footprint in this emerging market.

You'll report to the Head of International Expansion, APAC and work from our Hong Kong office.

There is 30%+ of heavy travel required for this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive Business Development: Own the full BD pipeline for the region — identify, pursue, and close partnerships with major consumer brands, distributors, and key players to fuel submission growth

  • Build and Own Customer Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers and partners; build trust, grow accounts, and ensure high customer retention and satisfaction through hands-on relationship management and exceptional service

  • Execute Sales & Growth Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the sales and growth strategy for the APAC region, translating relationships and market presence into measurable submission growth

  • Engage the Market: Represent Collectors at industry events, brand activations, and community touchpoints to build the PSA presence and reputation in Hong Kong and the broader APAC market

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure the successful delivery of launches and campaigns

  • Monitor Market Trends: Keep a pulse on competitor activity and market dynamics to identify new business development opportunities

  • Lead Scaled Growth: Create standard operating procedures for new processes and help build out our employee resource hub

Who You Are:

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in business development, sales, or customer-facing account management, with a proven track record of building relationships that scale a business or territory

  • Established network of relationships with brands, distributors, or key players in the APAC region. Experience in collectibles, luxury retail, or sports marketing is a significant advantage

  • Natural relationship-builder and dealmaker - energized by prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and nurturing long-term partnerships

  • Genuine interest in (or a deep willingness to master) the hobby. You understand the emotional and financial value of grading and can speak the language of collectors and investors

  • Ability to thrive in "10x" environments. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot between high-level strategy and the tactical execution of a regional launch

  • Can work effectively across different time zones and cultures, acting as the local voice of the Hong Kong market while aligning with Global/US headquarters

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Business level proficiency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese

  • Valid passport

Preferred

  • Comfort with data and analytics — you can use market and performance data to sharpen your BD strategy and back up your pitches
