Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Find and approach family offices, EAMs, MFOs, and UHNW principals across global markets
  • Take prospects from initial conversation through demonstrations, pilots, contracts, and lasting client relationships
  • Run your own pipeline and sales process, setting priorities while reporting directly to the CEO
  • Explain how data aggregation addresses fragmented reporting, manual reconciliation, and limited portfolio visibility
  • Use AI tools for prospect research, client intelligence, and market analysis while shaping future sales capabilities

What you bring

  • At least three years in a client-facing wealth management, private banking, family office, EAM, or financial services role
  • Connections within the wealth ecosystem, including family offices, private banks, EAMs, trustees, or wealth advisors
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin
  • A self-directed approach to ambiguous work and personal ownership of closing deals

Who this fits

You’ll suit a self-directed business development role where you own the full sales cycle and work directly with the CEO. The position is onsite at Lazada One in Singapore. Experience selling SaaS, fintech, or technology to financial institutions, plus knowledge of portfolio reporting or data aggregation, would strengthen your fit.

From the employer

• Win new clients. Identify and engage family offices, EAMs, MFOs, and UHNW principals globally. Turn conversations into demos, demos into pilots, pilots into long-term clients.

• Own the full cycle. From first meeting to signed contract -- you run the process. You manage your own pipeline, set your own pace, and report directly to the CEO.

• Be the trusted advisor. Canopy isn't a one-call close. You'll educate prospects on how data aggregation solves their real pain points -- fragmented reporting, manual reconciliation, lack of portfolio-level visibility -- and position Canopy as essential infrastructure for modern family offices, EAMs, and MFOs.

• Expand our footprint. We already serve clients across Singapore, Hong Kong, ASEAN, the Middle East, and Europe. You'll help us go deeper in existing markets and open new ones -- supported by strong client references and a growing global reputation.

• Leverage AI in your workflow. Use AI-powered tools for prospect research, client intelligence, and market analysis. You'll have access to cutting-edge AI capabilities that most sales teams won't see for years -- and your feedback will help us build the next generation of AI-driven sales tools.

Requirements

Must have:

• 3+ years in a client-facing role in wealth management, private banking, family office, EAM, or financial services -- you understand how wealth owners think

• A network (even a small one) in the wealth ecosystem -- family offices, private banks, EAMs, trustees, or wealth advisors

• Fluent English and Mandarin

• Entrepreneurial mindset -- comfortable with ambiguity, self-directed, and excited about closing deals with real ownership

Great to have:

• Experience selling SaaS, fintech, or technology solutions to financial institutions

• Understanding of portfolio reporting, data aggregation, or multi-custodian challenges

• Existing relationships with family offices or EAMs across multiple markets (Asia, Middle East, Europe, etc.)

• Curiosity about AI and willingness to adopt new tools -- no technical background required, just an open mind

• Prior startup experience or comfort working in a small, fast-moving team
