What you'll do

  • Create frequent vertical videos for Reels, TikTok, and other social channels
  • Produce YouTube and podcast projects from recording through final editing
  • Handle filming, post-production, sound, and basic color work in-house
  • Keep raw and completed media organized for easy reuse and repurposing
  • Capture field content at shows, events, and off-site productions, then prepare it for publishing teams

What you bring

  • You’ve independently created, finished, and released video before, supported by a personal channel or portfolio
  • You can manage your own equipment and solve lighting and audio issues without relying on a crew
  • You work quickly while maintaining quality across both rapid and more involved assignments
  • You want responsibility for the entire creative workflow rather than isolated tasks
  • You’re comfortable collaborating from the office five days each week

Who this fits

You'll suit a hands-on creator role where you work independently, move between fast social pieces and more developed video, and stay close to the broader team. The job is based in the San Francisco office five days a week, with travel for shows, events, and off-site shoots. You’ll start as the sole production team member and may help shape a growing function.

From the employer

About Broccoli πŸ₯¦

At Broccoli, we're building AI teammates for the people who build and maintain our world.

We partner with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractors, the hardworking businesses that keep homes and communities running, and replace fragmented software and repetitive manual work with AI that actually gets the job done.

Our AI teammates answer phones, book appointments, follow up with customers, recover missed revenue, and help contractors deliver exceptional customer experiences, all while integrating seamlessly with platforms like ServiceTitan.

Before we wrote a single line of code, we visited more than 140 contractors to understand how these businesses truly operate. That firsthand experience shaped everything we've built.

Today:

  • Hundreds of contractors rely on Broccoli every day.

  • We've grown to $15M+ ARR in under two years.

  • We're trusted by everyone from independent contractors to some of the largest private equity backed operators in the home services industry.

  • We're backed by Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator.

We're still just getting started.

This Role

We're looking for a Video Producer to act as our in-house production team, starting as a team of one, embedded, fast, and close to the team. You'll conceive, shoot, edit, and publish short and long-form video, owning the process from start to finish before handing it off for distribution. Over time, there's room for the function to grow into a small production team, as the work demands it.

You'll be embedded day-to-day with the team, moving fluidly between quick-turn social content and more polished long-form pieces, always close to what's actually happening. Some weeks that means being on the road at a show or event; other weeks it means sitting in the edit bay turning a podcast into a dozen usable clips.

This is a hands-on role: scrappy, resourceful, and exciting for someone who wants to own the full process, with the chance to help shape the team as it grows.

What You'll Own

  • Short-form content β€” Reels, TikTok, and other vertical video, produced at high volume (~10+ pieces/week)

  • Long-form content β€” YouTube videos and podcast recording/editing, from raw footage to finished, publish-ready cuts

  • Full production pipeline β€” shooting, editing, sound, and basic color/finishing, without relying on outside vendors or a larger crew

  • Media library β€” organizing and maintaining all raw and finished assets so content is easy to find, reuse, and repurpose

  • On-site production β€” traveling to shows, events, and off-site shoots to capture content in the field

  • Handoff-ready output β€” delivering finished or near-finished content to partner teams for distribution and publishing

Who we're looking for

  • Someone who has shot, edited, and published their own content before β€” a personal channel or portfolio speaks louder than a resume here

  • Someone comfortable owning their own gear, troubleshooting audio and lighting solo, and not waiting on anyone else to get the shot

  • Someone who moves quickly without sacrificing quality, and can handle a steady stream of both quick-turn and more involved projects

  • Someone who wants ownership over a creative pipeline, not just a task list

  • Someone excited to work in-office five days a week, collaborating closely with the team

Broccoli is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. We celebrate diverse perspectives and believe great teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and ideas.
