In your role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders including our Executive Vice President, Manufacturing, IT and Bombardier Operational Excellence System to effectively assess their communications needs and provide a successful mix of communications support and guidance;
  • Develop employee-centric communications to help us drive engagement and raise awareness for key elements of Bombardier’s strategy including Health, Safety and Environment, Operational Excellence and Quality;
  • Lead a team that is a strategic communications partner to our global operations and support our goal of reaching both our production and office employees and implementing a world-class employee communications approach at Bombardier;
  • Develop communications templates, processes and tools that support our goal of creating a strong communications culture throughout the organization;
  • Define communications KPIs, tracking their progress and making recommendations for improvement;
  • Ensure all of your team’s communications have a consistent tone and voice, meet brand standards and connect to the company’s objectives and priorities;
  • Collaborate with other Employee Communications teams to understand the broader business context and align communications in the corporate functions with our global communications strategy;
  • Coach leaders and project partners on communications best practices;
  • Stay abreast of employee communication best practices and leverage internal feedback mechanisms to evolve channels and strategy.
  • Partner with other members of the broader Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs team to ensure plans are integrated across functions and aligned for the greatest possible impact.

As our ideal candidate,

  • You have bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or the equivalent in years of experience;
  • You have at least 8 years of communications experience with a focus on internal communications;
  • You have experience leading a team and your leadership style is collaborative, empowering and kind;
  • You have a hands-on approach to crafting messages, presentations, strategic plans as well as a strategic mindset to create change and work towards a long-term vision for employee communications at Bombardier;
  • You have in-depth understanding of internal communications principles and practices;
  • You have an understanding of the key principles of strong change management;
  • You have demonstrated initiative as well as excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • You have proven ability to coach executives, provide candid counsel and act as a trusted advisor;
  • You have experience dealing with large-scale change in a matrixed environment;
  • You have excellent spoken and written communications skills in French and English;
  • You have amazing Microsoft Office skills;
  • You have a strategic mindset, you’re energized by change and driven by results and you’re proactive, solution-driven, and detail-oriented;
  • You have a love for online communications with an aptitude for technology;
