Mid-level Video Production role at Banks Power. Azusa · $72,800–$87,360 base.
Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.
What you'll do
- Film engineering work as it unfolds inside the shop, not on a staged set
- Cover installs, builds, and testing that reflect real engineering
- Cut raw shop footage into videos for YouTube and large social channels
- Run the whole pipeline yourself: filming, editing, color, sound, and delivery
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and leadership to shape the story
What you bring
- At least five years working professionally as a videographer
- Command of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and current camera gear
- A storyteller's instinct for pacing and visual detail
- Capacity to juggle several projects without hand-holding
- Genuine passion for cars and how engines work
Who this fits
This suits a car obsessive who happens to be a skilled shooter, not a generalist videographer chasing pretty shots. You need real mechanical knowledge; if you can't explain what a turbo does, they say don't apply. The role is full-time and fully on-site in Azusa, California, hands-on and fast-paced. Pay runs from 72,800 to 87,360 USD depending on your experience and skills.
From the employer
Don’t watch the future. Build it.
You can either scroll car content or create videos that millions of automotive enthusiasts are passionate about.
At Banks, we don’t bolt on parts, we engineer complete systems from the crankshaft out. We’ve been doing it since 1958; setting records, winning championships, and building engines the U.S. military trusts.
We’re looking for a videographer who doesn’t just know how to shoot video. You know what you’re shooting. If you don’t know what a turbo does, this isn’t your job.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll be embedded inside a real engineering environment, not a studio set, capturing the work as it happens.
- Work directly with marketing, engineering, and leadership to tell the story
- Shoot and edit content that actually matters; installs, builds, testing, and real engineering
- Turn raw shop footage into compelling videos for YouTube and our large social channels
- Capture the details that enthusiasts care about (not just “pretty shots”)
- Own the full production pipeline: filming, editing, color, sound, deliver
- Be on-site, on your feet, and in the middle of the action
- This isn’t a “sit behind a desk and edit TikToks” or “set music to slow-mo rolling shots of supercars” job.
What We’re Looking For
We don’t need another generic videographer. We need a car person who can shoot. You should have:
- 5+ years of professional videography experience
- Strong skills in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and modern camera systems
- A sharp eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual detail
- The ability to manage multiple projects without babysitting
- A curiosity for all things mechanical
Instant Disqualifier
If you can’t answer this, don’t apply:
Tell us about a vehicle you’ve worked on or are obsessed with. What’s been done to it and why?
The Environment
- Fast-paced, hands-on, no-nonsense, and fun
- Real engineers, real products, real deadlines
- A team of people who actually care about what they’re building
- We’re a tight-knit group because that’s what it takes to lead in our industry
The Basics
- Full-time, on-site in Azusa, CA
- Full benefits, 401(k), and all the usual stuff
Final Note
We don’t need someone who can make things look cool. We need someone who knows what’s cool before the camera even turns on.
