Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Own growth channels from start to finish, beginning with industry networks and operator peer groups
  • Build the relationships that open those channels and convert them into pipeline and revenue
  • Lean hard on AI and automation to run more experiments and reach people at outsized scale
  • Design and measure growth experiments, then turn winners into repeatable systems
  • Carry your own number and report plainly on what's working and where to lean in

What you bring

  • Three to six years in growth, strategy, consulting, banking, or a similarly analytical role
  • Strong relationship skills that earn quick trust from others
  • Comfort with AI tools and an instinct to automate anything repetitive
  • High agency and a builder's mindset, moving without waiting for direction
  • Clear written and spoken communication with both operators and executives

Who this fits

This suits a high-agency generalist who likes owning a revenue number, building relationships, and wiring up automations rather than following a set playbook. You should be equally at home charming a room and building systems behind the scenes. The role reports to the Head of Partnerships and requires being onsite in NYC. Base pay runs from 160,000 to 220,000 USD, plus bonus and equity.

From the employer

About Avoca

Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.

We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 130+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.

In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.

About the Role

We're hiring a Growth Manager to find, build, and scale new ways for Avoca to reach the market. Avoca plays in a relationship-driven industry, and ecosystem partnerships are a major revenue driver. This is a growth-hacker role with a revenue goal and a generalist mindset: part relationship builder, part operator, part builder who uses AI to do the work of a much larger team.

You'll go after high-leverage channels, starting with the industry networks and peer groups where thousands of operators make buying decisions together, and expanding into whatever motions move the number. You'll design experiments, build the systems and automations to run them, and turn what works into a repeatable engine. The scope is wide and the whitespace is real. We're looking for a genuinely smart, high-agency person who builds their own leverage.

You'll report directly to the Head of Partnerships and work closely with leadership on our highest-priority growth bets.

What You'll Do

  • Own high-leverage growth channels end to end, starting with major industry networks and peer groups

  • Build and maintain the relationships that unlock these channels, and turn them into measurable pipeline and revenue

  • Use AI and automation aggressively to run more experiments, reach more people, and operate at a scale a traditional hire couldn't

  • Design, run, and measure growth experiments, then productionize what works into repeatable systems

  • Own your numbers and report clearly on what's working, what isn't, and where to double down

What You'll Bring

  • 3-6 years in growth, strategy, consulting, banking, or another demanding, analytical role

  • Exceptional relationship skills, people trust you and want to work with you quickly

  • Genuine horsepower: you learn fast, think from first principles, and figure out hard problems without a template

  • Fluency with AI tools and a bias for automating anything repetitive, you'd rather build a system than do the same thing twice

  • High agency and a builder's mentality: you create your own leverage and move without waiting to be told

  • Strong communication, written and verbal, with both operators and executives

  • Bonus points: A track record of building something from zero, a company, a product, a channel, or a scaled process

Who You Are

  • You're a builder who gets energized from building relationships, owning a number, and finding leverage others miss

  • You don't need a playbook or an industry pedigree, you create clarity where none exists

  • You work hard because you have a high standard for yourself: you want to own outcomes, carry a number, and prove out models the company can scale

  • You're equally comfortable charming a room and wiring up an automation behind the scenes

  • You want to be in-office in NYC, surrounded by people who move fast and hold themselves to a high standard

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Company-sponsored 401(k) through Vestwell

  • Flexible PTO plus U.S. federal holidays

  • Company-wide off-sites

  • Daily in-office lunch through Parkday

  • Dinner covered when working late

  • Commuter benefits and late-night rideshare

  • Standing desks and workspace accommodations available on request

  • All core tools and software provided

Compensation: The expected base salary for this role is $160,000-$220,000, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Avoca's total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits. Our Recruiting team will share full details as you progress through the process.
