JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Marketing Operations - Orchestration & Automation Strategy

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Operations to join our Automation & AI Center of Excellence. This role will help Marketing rethink how work gets done—identifying opportunities to improve processes, enable new go-to-market motions, and apply automation, AI, data, and technology to make Marketing more effective and scalable.

This person will operate at the intersection of marketing strategy, business process, technology, and transformation. They will partner with marketers, Marketing Operations, process teams, technology teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to take business challenges that may initially be ambiguous and translate them into clear processes, requirements, and solutions.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious and highly connected in their thinking. They can sit in a meeting, understand the broader business objective, recognize where a process or handoff is breaking down, and ask: How could we redesign this? What could we automate? Where could AI help? What capabilities do we already have that we're not fully leveraging?

This is a transformation role for someone who is comfortable moving between strategy and execution planning and can help turn ideas into scalable ways of working.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to high-priority, cross-functional transformation initiatives that improve how Marketing operates.
  • Take on ambiguous or ad hoc business challenges, quickly understand the current state, identify opportunities, and create a path from problem to solution.
  • Partner with Marketing and cross-functional teams to redesign workflows, processes, and go-to-market motions.
  • Identify friction, unnecessary manual work, disconnected processes, and capability gaps—and determine where process redesign, automation, AI, data, or technology can improve the experience.
  • Help move initiatives from concept and experimentation into repeatable, scalable operating models.
  • Partner with marketers to understand business strategies, goals, and use cases and translate them into actionable business and technical requirements.
  • Bridge the gap between journey strategy and execution by translating business requirements for customer and account journeys into clear technical and operational requirements, including orchestration logic, data needs, triggers, decisioning, channel activation, and system dependencies.
  • Serve as a bridge between marketers and more technical teams, ensuring that business needs are understood and solutions are designed around the intended business outcome.
  • Break down ambiguous requests into clear use cases, workflows, requirements, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Facilitate conversations across teams that may approach the same problem from different perspectives and help create alignment around the path forward.
  • Understand enough about data, integrations, automation, AI, and marketing technology to identify what is possible and ask the right technical questions without needing to be the engineer building every solution.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of how Marketing teams work and proactively identify opportunities to simplify or improve those workflows.
  • Connect insights across meetings, teams, systems, and processes to identify systemic issues that may not be obvious within an individual workstream.
  • Evaluate where automation and AI can remove manual work, improve decision-making, accelerate execution, or enable entirely new ways of working.
  • Help teams distinguish between problems that require technology and those better solved through process, governance, enablement, or clearer ways of working.
  • Partner with technical teams and subject matter experts to shape, prioritize, test, and scale automation and AI use cases.
  • Help Marketing more effectively adopt and operationalize strategic capabilities and platforms, including tools such as 6sense.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, process teams, and technology partners to define and improve GTM motions enabled by data and technology.
  • Look beyond tool implementation to ensure capabilities are embedded into workflows, roles, processes, measurement, and day-to-day ways of working.
  • Identify gaps between what our technology can do and how teams are actually using it, then develop strategies to close those gaps.
  • Help establish repeatable frameworks and best practices that make successful transformation initiatives easier to scale across Marketing.

Expected Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, marketing technology, business transformation, digital transformation, or a related discipline, with experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing capabilities and a track record of applying them in real-world use cases
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, challenging existing assumptions, and creating structure where it does not yet exist.
  • Experienced with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Strong understanding of modern marketing operations and the systems, data, processes, and teams required to support effective go-to-market execution. Strong analytical skills with experience using reporting/BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Systems thinker with the ability to design and communicate complex workflows
  • Strong collaborator who can influence across teams and translate strategy into execution
  • Strong understanding of data models, data flows, and lifecycle architecture
  • Ability to translate strategy into execution and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

AI & Automation Capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience applying AI in marketing use cases (e.g., segmentation, personalization, lead scoring, content generation, campaign optimization)
  • Familiarity with modern AI tooling (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics, CDPs, intent data platforms) and ability to evaluate/build use cases
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, workflow automation, and/or integration of AI into marketing stacks
  • Knowledge of AI governance, data privacy, and ethical considerations in marketing applications

Expected Compensation
