ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Comms BP for Sustainability
- Partner with Sustainability and relevant stakeholders to develop communications plans that support key sustainability priorities and initiatives.
- Lead the communications execution for key sustainability milestones, initiatives and awards, ensuring effective delivery and reach across omni-channel communications.
- Shape clear and compelling sustainability narratives and develop communications materials, including press releases, articles, speeches, Q&As, key messages, etc.
- Identify relevant storytelling and engagement opportunities to enhance awareness and understanding of the company’s sustainability priorities.
Comms BP for Operations
- Partner with Operations and manufacturing teams to develop external communications plans that support key operational priorities and initiatives.
- Lead external communications execution for key milestones for operations, including site initiatives, innovation, sustainability, awards, etc.
- Shape clear and compelling narratives and develop communications materials, including press releases, articles, speeches, Q&As, and key messages, etc.
- Identify relevant storytelling and engagement opportunities to enhance awareness and understanding of the company’s operations priorities.
Media Relations and Operations
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with national, regional, and trade media to strengthen AstraZeneca’s corporate reputation through relevant stories, topics, and events.
- Manage media policies, processes, and governance to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective engagement with media across the organization.
- Manage media monitoring, clipping, and analysis, providing insights into media coverage, emerging topics, and issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
- 8-10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or media, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceuticals.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Chinese.
- Experience in agency or media preferred.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, matrixed, multinational environment.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
