About the role:

As the Head of First Mile & Depot Product (Business Development & Pricing), you will lead the Business Development and Pricing functions for Maersk’s US First Mile & Depot organization. This role sits at the intersection of commercial growth, pricing strategy, customer value creation, and operational execution. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth, developing commercial strategies, overseeing pricing governance, and ensuring customer commitments align with operational capabilities and financial objectives. Leading a team of business development and pricing professionals, you will partner closely with Sales, Product, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Customer Experience teams to shape the future growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Business Development strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives.
  • Lead the identification, qualification, development, and execution of strategic customer opportunities.
  • Establish pricing strategies, governance standards, and profitability frameworks.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve margins and customer profitability.
  • Integrate Business Development and Pricing to improve the quality, speed, and profitability of commercial decisions.
  • Translate business objectives into commercial priorities and provide leadership visibility into pipeline, pricing, risk, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead, develop, and coach Business Development and Pricing teams while fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Experience leading complex negotiations, strategic customer opportunities, and large-scale commercial decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions, geographies, and matrix organizations.
  • Strong business acumen including P&L, EBIT, margin management, customer profitability, and return on investment.
  • Proven people leadership skills with experience developing talent and leading high-performing teams.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $225,000 - $240,000 USD*

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.


*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
