What you will do

Let’s do this. In this vital role as Key Account Manager, you will be part of the Value, Access & Policy (VA&P) Team and report to the Head of Key Account Management. You will take primary responsibility for end-to-end key account partnerships across Amgen’s entire portfolio and will build strong relationships with key account stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers and establish long-term customer relationships
  • Develop, implement and update strategic account plans for assigned accounts and identify account-development opportunities
  • Create strong awareness for the entire Amgen portfolio across innovation and biosimilars
  • Prepare and lead annual discussions as well as price & contract negotiations
  • Continuously gather and assess insights on product evaluations and customer needs, for key accounts to feed into adaption of strategy and commercial actions across the Amgen portfolio
  • Support product launches with hospital pharmacists and purchasers/wholesalers
  • Communicate relevant healthcare policy, regulatory and reimbursement developments in a clear and customer-relevant manner
  • Partner with sales representatives for customer insight and planning activities
  • Support organization of congresses and other external events

  • Completed business, medical or scientific education
  • Several years of experience as sales representative or in key account management in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated business acumen with strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Good understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, particularly the Swiss hospital landscape, hospital decision-making processes, and procurement structures
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, and funding mechanisms in the hospital setting
  • Fluency in German and English is required; proficiency in French is an advantage
