Your responsibilities
Strategic Account & Business Development Manager Automotive China is responsible for managing strategic Automotive OEM and Tier-1 accounts while driving sustainable business growth across China and globally where relevant. The role serves as the primary commercial interface for assigned customers, ensuring a coordinated ELANTAS approach across business lines, regions, and functions and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Account Management
• Own the global and regional relationship for assigned Automotive OEM and Tier-1 accounts.
• Act as the single commercial interface and ensure a coordinated ELANTAS approach across regions and business lines.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers.
• Coordinate customer activities and priorities across internal stakeholders.
Business Growth
• Drive pipeline development, opportunity management, and project prioritization.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and cross-selling potential across the ELANTAS portfolio.
• Develop growth opportunities in strategic focus areas and emerging market segments.
Market & Customer Intelligence
• Capture customer requirements, market trends, and competitive activities.
• Identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities based on customer and market needs.
• Translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
• Provide regular customer, market, and sales intelligence to management.
Cross-Functional Leadership, Risk Management & Reporting
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Technology, and Regional Sales teams across all business lines to align customer requirements with ELANTAS capabilities and innovation priorities.
• Coordinate regional and global initiatives to support strategic account objectives and ensure alignment across functions and regions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic account reviews, and opportunity prioritization.
• Present key account developments, opportunities, risks, and mitigation plans to management.
Your profile
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive technologies, market trends, and customer requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into growth opportunities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and business software (e.g., SAP).
• Willingness to travel extensively, with a valid passport.
• Experience with Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, particularly in electronics, power electronics, or eMobility, is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of adhesives, conformal coatings, potting resins, and electronics assembly processes is a plus.
