SkillBridge Academy is seeking a Communications Coordinator with exceptional writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills to join our growing team in Halifax. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in shaping and delivering clear, consistent, and engaging communications across internal and external channels. This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and uphold the integrity of our brand voice.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement communication plans that support institutional goals and initiatives.
Write, edit, and proofread a variety of materials including newsletters, press releases, website content, and reports.
Coordinate with departments to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication platforms.
Assist in organizing and promoting academy events, workshops, and public relations initiatives.
Monitor media coverage and prepare communication performance reports.
Maintain and update communication materials to reflect current programs and priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
2–4 years of professional experience in communications or a similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and tone.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Experience in coordinating projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with content management systems and internal communication tools is an asset.
