Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Run the posting calendar across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Create platform-specific posts instead of repeating identical content everywhere
  • Shoot and edit short videos featuring events, providers, families, and everyday moments
  • Manage comments and DMs while building a flow of provider stories and user content
  • Review performance, report inbound results, and expand the content that works best

What you bring

  • You can independently film and edit social video using a phone and tools such as CapCut or Premiere
  • You understand TikTok and Instagram culture, trends, and what earns attention
  • You write with a distinct voice and can tell autism-care stories warmly and respectfully
  • You take ownership, generate bold ideas, and consistently turn them into published work

Who this fits

This role suits a self-directed creator who can manage a calendar while also getting on camera or behind it to make content. You should care about families navigating autism care and be comfortable telling their stories with warmth. The job is onsite in New York and offers full-time employment.

From the employer

๐Ÿ“Œ ABOUT ALPACA HEALTH

Alpaca Health helps clinicians become entrepreneurs, starting in autism care. We give BCBAs the software, payer contracting, and back-office muscle to launch and scale their own practices, so power in healthcare shifts back to the people actually giving the care.

We have raised over $14M from investors like Core Innovation Capital, Adverb Ventures, and South Park Commons. We serve hundreds of families and are growing 30% month over month.

We also move fast. Last week, we threw a festival for 600 people, planned in under two weeks, with real alpacas on site. That is the energy around here. If that sounds like your kind of chaos, keep reading.

ย

๐ŸŽฏ THE ROLE

We are hiring a Social Media Associate to own our always-on presence across every channel: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube. You will run the calendar, post consistently, manage the community in the comments and DMs, and, most importantly, make content that is genuinely good enough to stop a thumb.

You will work with brand (who sets the voice), the graphic designer (assets), and the events and community teams (a firehose of real moments to capture). This is a creator role as much as a manager role: you should be comfortable pulling out a phone, shooting, and cutting something great yourself. Bold ideas are welcome and expectedโ€”a recurring series starring our providers, a trend we hijack in an hour, a video that makes autism care feel warm and human instead of clinical.

ย

๐Ÿšง WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the channels:

  • Run the content calendar and post consistently across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube

  • Tailor content to each platform instead of cross-posting the same thing everywhere

Make content people stop for:

  • Shoot and edit short-form video yourself, from events, providers, and families

  • Jump on trends fast and turn everyday moments into scroll-stopping content

Grow and engage the audience:

  • Grow followers, reach, and engagement, and actually talk to people in the comments and DMs

  • Build a steady pipeline of provider and family stories and user-generated content

Tell real stories:

  • Turn our providers, families, and moments (yes, the alpacas) into content that builds real trust

Measure and improve:

  • Track what works, double down on it, and report on growth and the inbound social drives

ย

๐ŸŒŸ WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • In 90 days: A consistent posting cadence is live across channels, you have a system for capturing moments from events and providers, and a few pieces have clearly outperformed the baseline.

  • In a year: A meaningfully bigger and more engaged audience, a recognizable Alpaca content style, and social that reliably drives real inbound from families and providers.

ย

๐Ÿง  WHO YOU ARE

  • You are a self-starter who owns both the calendar and the camera.

  • You have taste. You know what good looks like, and you know what feels cringe.

  • You are native to the platforms. You live in TikTok and Instagram and you actually understand culture and trends.

  • You are full of bold ideas and pragmatic enough to ship something every day.

  • You can shoot and edit yourself (a phone plus CapCut, Premiere, or your tool of choice).

  • You are a strong writer with a voice.

  • You care about families navigating autism care, and you can tell their stories with warmth and respect.

ย

โœจ BONUS POINTS

  • You have grown an audience before, your own or a brand's, and can show the numbers

  • Healthcare, consumer, or creator experience

  • Design, motion, or photography skills

  • Comfortable on camera yourself

ย

๐Ÿš€ WHY JOIN

  • Direct exposure to company building at an early stage

  • Real ownership of our voice in the feed from day one

  • The chance to materially change life for families and clinicians

  • A learning curve few roles can match

  • ๐Ÿ’ต Competitive salary

  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Meaningful equity

  • ๐Ÿฅ Health benefits

  • ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Flexible PTO

  • ๐Ÿฑ Dinner when working late
