The Allied Solutions internship program is a robust and consistent internship program for juniors and seniors. The program will focus on learning and development as well as hands-on experience. The program will immerse the intern into a broad range of responsibilities, allowing you to execute projects within your area of professional interests.

Interested applicants must be available during the 12-week program (May 24th – Aug. 13th, 2027). This is a full-time internship (40-hours per week) based at our St. Paul, Minnesota on the Securian campus.

The Field Communications Intern will assist the Sales Enablement & Operations Department with a wide range of projects related to producing internal communications for our sales and service representatives (the “Field”), managing a library of marketing and training content for them, tracking their usage of the various communication methods, and providing support to other internal team members on projects. In this position, you will obtain a better understanding of an internal communications role and gain hands-on experience with supporting a sales and service team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Communications

  • Create the weekly eNewsletter and publish to the Field

  • Collaborate with marketing, product managers, and other content contributors to edit and refine articles for the weekly eNewsletter

  • Write educational articles for weekly eNewsletter

  • Create educational materials to be housed on the sales enablement platform

  • Review and check for consistency across the sales enablement platform (e.g., links, pages, document naming, brand standards)

  • Assist with other communication projects

Tracking & Analytics:

  • Update tracking spreadsheet for managing review of documents and pages on the sales enablement platform

  • Track readership of the weekly eNewsletter

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA)

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a rising Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Communications or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong decision making and organizational skills required

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products, with ability to learn internal systems

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple support functions

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others

  • Proven track record of dependability and reliability

  • Ability to acknowledge and respect confidential information

  • Experience with email marketing and content management preferred
