From the employer
About Alpine IQ
Alpine IQ (AIQ) was founded in 2019 to help companies make sense of their customer data and turn it into real, measurable outcomes. What started as a focused data-unification platform has evolved into a full suite of tools used by brands, retailers, and digital businesses of every size, from fast-growing startups to global enterprises.
We’re a fully remote team of builders who love turning complex problems into simple, elegant solutions. Our products streamline operations, power smarter decision-making, and help businesses create personalized, connected experiences for their customers.
If you’re energized by fast-moving environments, creative challenges, and work that genuinely moves the needle, you’ll feel at home here.
The Opportunity
Retention drives a SaaS business, and we’re looking for an experienced renewals professional to own it. As our Renewal Specialist, you’ll manage the full renewal lifecycle across a book of AIQ customers, from early outreach and risk identification through negotiation and signature. You’ll partner closely with Customer Success, Partnerships, Sales, and Finance, and you’ll have a real voice in shaping how AIQ approaches renewals as we scale.
This role is for a seasoned renewals professional who knows what a healthy renewal motion looks like and is ready to bring that expertise to a growing team.
What You’ll Do
- Own renewals end to end for an assigned book of accounts, initiating outreach 90–120 days before term end, preparing quotes, and driving contracts to on-time signature.
- Multithread every account, building relationships beyond your day-to-day contact and getting to the decision makers and economic buyers who sign.
- Negotiate with confidence, including pricing adjustments, multi-year agreements, and renewal terms within approved guidelines, and knowing when to escalate.
- Mitigate churn by spotting risk early through customer data, usage trends, and stakeholder signals, then building and executing save plans before renewals are in jeopardy.
- Forecast accurately by keeping your HubSpot pipeline current weekly: stages, close dates, and risk notes.
- Grow accounts by identifying upsell and expansion opportunities during the renewal window.
- Resolve issues across teams, coordinating with Finance and Billing on invoicing, payment, and contract questions.
- Turn data into insight by tracking renewal rate, net and gross revenue retention, and churn reasons, and sharing what you learn with CS leadership.
- Build the playbook: help shape AIQ’s renewal process through templates, automation, and documentation, bringing best practices from your prior experience.
How Success Is Measured
Success in this role is measured by how well you retain and grow AIQ’s revenue, and how reliably you execute. Key measures include:
- Revenue retention: Gross and net revenue retention across your book
- Renewal rate: The share of renewals closed on time, before term end
- Expansion: Upsell and cross-sell revenue closed during the renewal window
- Forecast accuracy: How closely your renewal forecast matches actual results
- Execution: Timely outreach, accurate quotes and contracts, and a current HubSpot pipeline
These measures are defined in the role’s compensation plan and performance scorecard.
What You Bring

- Proven churn mitigation experience, including identifying at-risk accounts early and turning them around.
- The ability to multithread across customer organizations and get to the decision makers who own the renewal.
- Experience managing a high volume of accounts and contracts with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience using a CRM to manage pipeline and forecast renewals.
- Clear, confident communication, including the ability to explain pricing and contract terms in plain language.
- Solid understanding of SaaS subscription models and retention metrics (GRR, NRR, churn).
