Bring your energy to Aggreko as Business Development Manager - Utilities based in Eastern Creek, Sydney. You’ll drive growth within our Utilities sector across Australia. This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with strong industry connections and a solid understanding of the utility, energy, and infrastructure markets.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting strategic opportunities across power generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, grid support, water infrastructure, and Energy-as-a-Service solutions. Working closely with utility customers, government agencies, developers, consultants, and infrastructure stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting Australia's energy transition and future energy security requirements.

What you’ll do as Business Development Manager – Utilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the Utilities sector
  • Identify and secure new opportunities across power generation, renewable energy, BESS, microgrids, and grid support applications
  • Build strong relationships with utility, energy, water, and infrastructure customers
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, estimating, and proposal teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and energy transition trends to identify new opportunities
  • Represent Aggreko at customer meetings, industry forums, and conferences

You are / have:

  • 10+ years' experience in utilities, energy, power generation, infrastructure, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
  • Knowledge of transmission and distribution networks, utility connection processes, and energy procurement models
  • Demonstrated success in business development and strategic sales
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Commercially astute with the ability to manage complex opportunities and long sales cycles
  • Willingness to travel throughout Australia as required
