What you'll do
- Develop and refine the communication system used in laser communication terminals
- Define system requirements and tests, then assess the complete system and its subsystems
- Negotiate specifications, interfaces, documentation and verification methods with customers and suppliers
- Provide technical oversight when selecting and working with suppliers
- Support the sales team while pursuing new orders
What you bring
- A completed degree in aerospace engineering, physics, electrical engineering, communications engineering or a comparable subject
- Several years working in systems engineering and requirements management, including experience leading development projects
- Technical knowledge of current laser communication products plus working knowledge across electrical engineering, optics and mechanics
- Business-fluent German and English, spoken and written, with strong analytical, communication and organizational skills

Tätigkeiten
- Neu- und Weiterentwicklung des Kommunikationssystems von Laser Communication Terminals
- Auslegung und Spezifikation der Anforderungen und Tests sowie Beurteilung des Systems und dessen Subsystemen
- Selbständige Verhandlung der Spezifikationen, Schnittstellen, Dokumentation und des Verifikationsansatzes mit Kunden und Suppliern
- Technische Betreuung und Auswahl der Lieferanten
- Unterstützung des Vertriebsteams bei der Akquisition von Aufträgen
Qualifikation
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Physik, Elektrotechnik, Nachrichtentechnik oder vergleichbar
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung im System Engineering und Anforderungsmanagement sowie Erfahrung in der Leitung von Entwicklungsprojekten
- Technische Kenntnisse über aktuelle Lasercom-Produkte sowie interdisziplinäre Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Elektrotechnik, Optik und Mechanik
- Belastbarkeit, Flexibilität, Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Organisationstalent sowie analytisches Denken
- Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
