Our team partners with healthcare providers to deliver impactful diagnostic technologies across primary and secondary care settings.


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to join our Rapid Diagnostics UK team. This regional role will be responsible for driving growth and expanding Abbott's Point-of-Care diagnostic portfolio across NHS, Public Health, and Local Authority settings.


You will identify, develop, and secure strategic business opportunities while building strong relationships with key stakeholders across healthcare systems. This position offers the opportunity to influence healthcare pathways, lead strategic projects, and contribute directly to Abbott's continued growth in the diagnostics market.


What You'll Work On

  • Drive sales growth and achieve territory and regional sales objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for Abbott Rapid Diagnostics products and services.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with healthcare stakeholders across primary and secondary care.
  • Identify, research, prioritize, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and procurement processes.
  • Develop compelling business cases and value propositions for customers.
  • Support the implementation of national sales and marketing strategies at a regional level.
  • Negotiate contracts and collaborate with legal teams during contract reviews.
  • Coach and develop colleagues, supporting talent growth and performance improvement.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Marketing teams to deliver workshops and local initiatives.
  • Share best practices and contribute to cross-functional projects and national business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate customer insights and opportunity management through CRM systems.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Significant healthcare, diagnostics, or medical sales experience with a proven track record of high performance.
  • Strong experience managing key accounts and delivering profitable revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated success in securing contracts and leading complex negotiations.
  • Experience working within the NHS and understanding healthcare procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across lengthy sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business planning capabilities.
  • Experience with managed services and/or medical equipment leasing models.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • CRM experience and strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading colleagues is highly desirable.

Education

  • Degree or higher qualification in Business, Biological Science, or a related discipline preferred.
