Role Purpose:
The Brand Manager – Biologics & Biosimilars is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for the biologics and biosimilars portfolio in Pakistan, with a key focus on oncology and specialty care.
The role will lead brand planning, market development, launch readiness, stakeholder engagement, and in-market execution while working closely with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain, and Finance. The Brand Manager will play an important role in driving awareness, differentiation, adoption, and sustainable growth of biologic and biosimilar brands in a competitive and evolving market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual brand strategies and tactical plans for the biologics and biosimilars portfolio.
- Define brand positioning, value propositions, customer segmentation, targeting, key messages, and performance objectives.
- Lead market development initiatives for originator biologics and biosimilars, with a strong focus on oncology and specialty-care markets.
- Assess market dynamics, treatment pathways, competitor activity, customer needs, access barriers, pricing trends, and opportunities for portfolio growth.
- Lead commercial launch planning and launch readiness for new biologic and biosimilar products.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch activities across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Develop effective HCP engagement and educational initiatives to support understanding, confidence, and appropriate adoption of biologics and biosimilars.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including specialists, healthcare institutions, key opinion leaders, and relevant decision-makers.
- Develop and implement promotional campaigns, scientific-commercial communication, and customer engagement initiatives in line with local regulations and company compliance standards.
- Monitor brand performance, market share, customer adoption, competitive developments, and execution effectiveness.
- Translate market insights and customer feedback into actionable brand strategies and commercial initiatives.
- Support forecasting, demand planning, budgeting, performance tracking, and business reviews for the biologics and biosimilars portfolio.
- Partner with regional and global teams to adapt broader biologics and biosimilars strategies to the Pakistan market.
- Drive strong cross-functional alignment and ensure effective execution of agreed brand priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, brand management, or a related commercial role.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in oncology is required.
- Experience with originator biologics and/or biosimilars is highly preferred.
- Experience in specialty-care marketing, product launches, market development, or lifecycle management is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of oncology customers, treatment pathways, healthcare stakeholders, and market dynamics.
- Good understanding of the Pakistan pharmaceutical and healthcare environment, including institutional business, procurement, access, and reimbursement dynamics.
- Experience in competitive analysis, market research, customer insights, forecasting, and commercial planning.
- Understanding of the key commercial considerations associated with biologics and biosimilars, including differentiation, physician confidence, patient access, switching considerations, pricing, and competitive positioning.
