What will you do?

A day in the life of a Designer, Graphics (Women & Youth) at The North Face looks a little like this.You will be part of the Logowear and Graphics design team, with a primary focus on Women's and Youth product categories. Working closely with a team of designers, a Design Manager, and a Global Design Director, you will help bring seasonal graphic concepts to life — balancing creative excellence with on-time delivery across multiple product calendars.Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
  • You will support the ideation and creation of graphics across the Logowear and Graphics categories, ensuring alignment with brand vision, seasonal direction, and business objectives.
  • You will work collaboratively within a team of designers, executing work effectively to meet product development and merchandising timelines — all while maintaining the highest creative standards.
  • You will partner with the Design Manager and Global Design Director to develop seasonal concepts, build graphic storytelling, and create category-specific artwork.
  • You will balance priorities across multiple product calendars, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with excellence.
  • You will conduct ongoing research into consumer trends, cultural movements, competitive landscapes, and industry innovations to fuel your graphic concepts and designs.
  • You will collaborate closely with Product Development to deliver accurate, consumer-ready products.
  • You will participate in proof-of-concept development and present compelling visual concepts to internal management, merchandise partners, and external collaborators.
  • You will support cross-functional collaboration to execute category graphic strategies and product tiering.
  • You will invest in your professional growth through continued learning, skill development, trend research, and regular creative briefings from Design leadership.
  • Location: This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of our HQ in Denver, CO, three days a week.

What do you need to succeed?

A Bachelor's Degree in Design (apparel) is required for this position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
  • 3–5+ years of related professional experience in a design role
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Design (apparel), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in flat sketching and working with CADs
  • Experience in researching and analyzing design and fashion trends
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and show initiative
  • Working knowledge of color palettes and understanding of apparel construction
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present artwork and concepts to product teams
  • Knowledge of the product design and development process and designing for market, trend, and end use
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility with the ability to design for different consumers and end uses
  • Ability to accept and apply constructive art direction while bringing a unique creative voice to the work

Hiring Range:

$82,080.00 USD - $102,600.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
