Manager, Marketing Operations

Position Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager serves as the lead and subject matter expert for assigned Communications Review Committee (CRC) team(s), supporting the efficient and compliant review, approval, production, and distribution of branded and non-branded communications. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional reviewers to help ensure materials move through the promotional review process in a timely, well-coordinated, and effective manner.

In addition to leading planning, forecasting, and review operations for assigned CRC team(s), this individual is responsible for generating performance insights, leading quarterly business reviews, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead and subject matter expert for assigned CRC team(s).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional reviewers.
  • Lead CRC planning and execution, including submission strategy, timelines, review schedules, and milestone tracking.
  • Own weekly forecasting meetings and partner with the business on submission timing, prioritization, throughput, and resource alignment.
  • Identify volume trends, planning risks, and capacity considerations, and work with stakeholders to align timing and expectations.
  • Track major multi-piece initiatives through completion to support pull-through and achievement of target dates for use.
  • Provide guidance on review requirements, workflow routing, and submission readiness for promotional, educational, and training materials.
  • Oversee the end-to-end review lifecycle for assigned materials to ensure quality execution and adherence to internal processes.
  • Ensure final approved materials and related workflow records are complete, accurate, and appropriately archived.
  • Serve as an operational expert for Veeva Vault PromoMats or equivalent review platforms.
  • Facilitate OPDP submission requirements and related documentation needs, as applicable.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews for assigned CRC team(s), including development and presentation of performance metrics, trend analysis, and actionable insights.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and execution within assigned CRC responsibilities.
  • Develop tools, templates, and process documentation that support consistency and operational excellence.
  • May mentor, train, or provide day-to-day guidance to less experienced team members.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing communications, operations, advertising, medical communications, publishing, or related functions; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a regulated, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with electronic review systems such as Veeva Vault PromoMats or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience supporting promotional review or commercial content operations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, forecasting activities, or process improvement efforts.
  • Familiarity with OPDP submission requirements.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of CRC and commercial content review processes in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise within assigned CRC team(s).
  • Strong planning, forecasting, and workload management capabilities.
  • Experience developing and interpreting performance metrics, trends, and operational insights for assigned CRC team(s).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence across functions and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and implement practical improvements.

Pay Range:

$120,000 - $180,000

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
