Communications Specialist

The Role

Creates effective communications content and plans focused on specific initiatives and changes. Supports in determining the best content for communicating effectively and engaging targeted audiences.

In this role you will

  • Develops cohesive plans for communicating internal and external initiatives and events that are aligned to business outcomes.

  • Partners with business area to ensure needs are addressed, various solutions are identified, and delivery of expectations is within scope and capacity.

  • Creates content that is clear, engaging, and concise. Identifies trends for future application.

  • Applies Vanguard's style, usage, and brand standards to ensure consistency.

  • Identifies areas for improvement to enhance the effectiveness of communications and its ability to execute on business objectives.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes

  • Proven track record in communications, with PR agency or an-in house background

  • Financial services experience

  • Understanding of the social media landscape

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
